@Free Vulcan,
1. Am planning to start a cucumber in my Sonroom . . . in the high desert (where it freezes--sometimes below zero and once in the last 100 years 30 degrees below zero!) American SW. How big a pot should I use?
2. Am trying to root Plumeria cuttings. I've read on the net that one should dry them out first. I didn't. I did put in rooting powder. And the net seems to think that watering sparingly once a week is wise. Does anyone have experience with such?
3. I have a new lemon tree in about a 2.5 gal pot ready to transplant to a large pot about 18" in diameter and 16" high. It looks like it needs pruned--too many limbs coming up from the base, imho. Any suggestions about pruning?
4. I have a half dozen or so Gogi berry bushes. They can really produce. Any suggestions for what to do with the fruit besides smoothies and trail-mix/Gorp?
5. I also have about 6 elderberry bushes. Those are a bit of a pain to pick--though a comb over a deep plate of mine helps (a pie plate would be a good alternative). I've frozen them, so far. I know they are quite healthy for lung problems, colds etc.
6. A year or so ago, I visited the GROWINGSPACES.COM domed poly carbonate greenhouse factory in Pagosa Springs, CO. Great company and product. Hope I can get one eventually.
