Shots fired at Canyon High School in middle of the night
Quote
Authorities are looking for tips to help lead them to someone who in the wee hours of the morning shot up an empty high school Monday in New Braunfels.

Investigators found empty shell casings, bullets and damage from gunfire after an alarm sounded about 1:20 a.m. Monday at Canyon High School in the 1500 block of Interstate 35 North, said Lt. Craig Christopherson of the New Braunfels Police Department.

A reward has been offered for information that might lead to the person or people who fired at the school well after hours, said Deputy Gene Hendon, liaison between the Comal County Sheriff’s Office and Comal County Crime Stoppers.

“Upon officer’s arrival, they found the alarm had been set off by a volley of gun shots being fired at the main office of the school building,” Hendon said. “There were several bullet holes found in the brick and through the windows of the school. The damage was estimated at approximately $3,500.”

This is right next to my job location. I got out of there shortly before midnight.
