Pete Rose writes pointless letter to Baseball Hall of Fame

Pete Rose wrote a letter — actually, his lawyers wrote it — to Baseball Hall of Fame officials to get them to change their stance on his ineligibility.
The letter, which was obtained by Yahoo Sports, argues that the permanent ban for gambling on baseball handed down by then-commissioner Bart Giamatti in 1989 did not say Rose would be ineligible for the Hall.
