An Iraqi refugee who arrived in Oakland County, Michigan in June 2015 was diagnosed with active tuberculosis (TB) in March of this year, a spokesperson for the Oakland County Health and Human Services Department (OCHD) tells Breitbart News.
“CDC reported to us” the news that the refugee was identified as having latent TB infection “sometime during the summer [of 2015],” the spokesperson tells Breitbart News in an emailed statement.
“OCHD sent [a] letter to [the] refugee indicating they were identified with latent TB and to come into the Health Division for follow-up,” the spokesperson adds.
