SANTA FE, TX (KTRK/CNN) - Nobody likes being late, but a little boy rushing into school thought there was something more important than being on time to class.

A photo of him stopping for the Pledge of Allegiance is getting him a lot of positive attention on social media.

Five-year-old Royce Woodrow Thompson at Wollam Elementary can recite the Pledge of Allegiance as if it's child play.

Last Thursday morning, near the drop-off line, he showed people how it's done.
