Kerbal Space Program, NASA approved video game
« on: August 27, 2016, 12:09:00 pm »
I wrote TWO well written threads on this and somehow both died in transit.  This is attempt number 3, if it dies, good riddance, guess not meant to be.

Pinged a multitude of users to the previous well written threads, Kerbal Space Program is an awesome game, full of technical mischief, yadda yadda, stuff I wrote that got nuked in previous posting attempts.

I guarantee you'll love it if you are as enamored in to JUNO, as well as the new discovery of Proxima Centauri's earth-mass planet.

Would like to talk about this entertaining and stimulating game with fellow conservatives.  It is available on "Steam"; Valve Software's direct download service.

If you're not sure, please search "Kerbal Space Program" on various video web searches.  It will be worth your while, and especially buying it.

I know this post is crap, but like I said at the beginning, I wrote two long winded and video embedded posts; both got nuked due to my apparent incompetent handling of this forum and lack of knowledge in the History or Back function.

Please, please, please, have fun.  The entirety of this thread is to promote complex orbital mechanics. :)

Cost is the single most important factor to me.

I tried the demo and loved it, even though it proves I can't circularize an orbit or land on the Mun.... although crashing on it was accomplished.

Youtuber Scott Manley who is a scientist of some kind, has done many many many videos on Kerbal.

@geronl

This is pay-for-play?

There should be a gerbil space program for continuing moslem outreach from those a-holes at NASA.

It's not free, but there is a demo

It's a computer game, there is no online play. Players can speed up time because space travel takes a long time. (Although that has been tried by modders)

I have not seen a Kerbal with any headgear yet. lol

It took many Kerbals to safely land on the Mun. They will be remembered.

Some never came back. A few poor Kerbals were flung out into space where they orbit the sun...

My son plays Kerbal.  Steam is a game downloading service and is free.  They have specials on most of their games from time to time.  They carry a lot of older titles too, for very cheap.  I think we paid between $10 and $15 for Kerbal.
