Poll: Clinton up by 6 nationally

Hillary Clinton is up by 6 points over Donald Trump nationwide, according to a weekly poll by Reuters.

Forty-one percent of voters support Clinton, 35 percent favor Trump, and 25 percent of voters chose “other.”

When Libertarian Gary Johnson and Green Party candidate Jill Stein are factored in, Trump and Clinton are tied at 37 percent, with Johnson at 5 percent and Stein at 1 percent.

Both Clinton and Trump are now officially their parties’ nominees following the two party conventions.

Clinton increased her lead over Trump from last week’s Reuters poll, when she was up by 3 points with 41 percent.

The head-to-head matchup was conducted among 1,043 likely voters between July 25 and July 29 and has a credibility interval of 4 percentage points. The four-way poll, conducted over the same days, surveyed 1,426 likely voters and has a credibility interview of 3 points.

"When Libertarian Gary Johnson and Green Party candidate Jill Stein are factored in, Trump and Clinton are tied at 37 percent, with Johnson at 5 percent and Stein at 1 percent. "

This is interesting; there has been some commentary that the 4% or 5% per Johnson was taking votes from Trump; so this tends to show the opposite.  So, IOW, Johnson may be taking more votes from Clinton.

RCP tries to show all polls and then, offer a composite. Polls do vary quite a bit.

The consensus seems to be that Johnson is drawing about equally from both sides this time: disaffected Bernie supporters, and conservatives desperate for someone else to vote for.

Surprise Fail – Reuters Announces Poll Changes To Help Lift Hillary Clinton…
Lest we forget, I remember much questioning of polls in 2012 that had Obama ahead. Democrats were being oversampled etc. Obama ended up winning by 4%.
The nature of the beast is when your candidate is well in the lead, the poll is accurate and when your candidate is down, there are excuses. Republicans are working. No one has land lines. Republicans don't do polls.
Most of these polls are not done by the news organizations. They are done by hired polling firms. I would expect that their objective is to be as accurate as possible to get future work.

America needs no words from me to see how your decision in Roe v. Wade has deformed a great nation. The so-called right to abortion has pitted mothers against their children and women against men. Human rights are not a privilege conferred by government. They are every human being's entitlement by virtue of his humanity. The right to life does not depend, and must not be declared to be contingent, on the pleasure of anyone else, not even a parent or a sovereign. -Blessed Mother Teresa of Calcutta

When the unwashed masses start to pay attention to the election this fall they will be witness to the full bleep.  Never ever go full bleep.

You folks see this?

It's pretty obvious by now that Bubba is out of it.

Anyone here have an elderly family member slowly come apart, with mental and physical issues?  It's a strange thing.  Discussing familiar topics, like, say, investments the elder had made years ago or of decades-old memories...the person comes alive; warmth and real discussion.  But so often that person is just dazed in the course of events of the day...maybe heading halfway out to the mailbox and forgetting what he's doing.  Or just staring mindlessly at television.  Few old people are ever in balloon drops, but a lot of dementia cases would act exactly like Bubba was doing.

This should raise real concerns.  BOTH of them are not well; NEITHER of them belong in the White House, for thousands of reasons, past as well as present.

And here we are.

Reuters had her up by +11 and +5 in its two most recent polls so it really hasn't "shifted" at all. It's got a decidedly Left slant and has throughout the cycle. This is actually a bad news poll for Hillary because it reflects zero bounce coming out of her convention.
