You are wrong.

Long time British citizens, especially the working class, don't mind immigrants. It's something we've had practice with since the early days of the Empire. They don't like COMPETITION. Free movement within the EU has resulted in a mass of Eastern Europeans arriving in the UK. They work - bloody hard. And they undercut the local builders and chippies and brickies in price, with a better work ethic.

I heard all about that work ethic in Rotherham.

They did fund some of the EU...

...and their businesses and financial institutions profited greatly from being able to trade freely with over 300 million customers.

Nothing free about trade in the EU, they have some very onerous regulations from Brussels.

Now imagine being able to make trade deals with the whole wide world without bowing to the EUSSR

And what's now in it for the world?  All England can now offer is to allow trade with 50-odd million people.

That's significantly less valuable than what they offered last week, which was access to trade with over 300 million.

Now the first stop will be Ireland (or Scotland, perhaps).

We trade with Europe, we're not in the EU. Big deal.

The libs/dems of today are the Quislings of former years. The cowards who would vote a fraud into office in exchange for handouts from the devil.
