Has Drudge Dumped Trump?
« on: April 23, 2016, 12:30:10 am »
Quote
Matt Drudge, founder of the Drudge Report, and Charles Hurt, editor of the Drudge Report, have come under fire from many in the grassroots for turning the site, which was put on the map by the Bill Clinton/Monica Lewinsky affair, into a shill site for the presidential campaign of Donald Trump.

The Drudge Report has made a name for itself during this election cycle of being part of the thug-style hitman team of Donald Trump in attacking his closest rival, constitutional conservative Ted Cruz
97%
. At the same time, the Drudge Report has used its influence to pump up Donald Trump with positive, glorification stories and padded polls. But there was a big change on Drudge this morning and if Matt Drudge and Charles Hurt are trying to save face, this is not the way to do it because it reveals that they will rather not talk about Trump at all if it can’t be completely positive.....

What propaganda.  Drudge hasn't "dumped Trump", he's burrowed in deeper.  He's not promoting the several stories over the last couple of days that make Trump look bad with social conservatives.   The Trump coalition is a peculiar one.   One part is respectable moderates, who think the GOP's shooting itself in the foot by emphasizing abortion, the bathroom wars and other social conservative hot button issues.    Another are the cockroaches who've crawled out from under the alt-right, know-nothing rock.  And Drudge knows there are stories out there that threaten to cleave that strange coalition,  and declines to report them.
It's crackers to slip a rozzer the dropsy in snide
