I said this on another thread but...

If you reside somewhere on the right-of-center political spectrum, you lost last night.

BIG TIME, Lando!

Winning SIX of SIX coin tosses to win the majority of Iowa delegates?   Scalia's passing?

By the time the mainstream media complex and DNC are finished riling up the population, every freaking knuckle-dragging contestant in Watter's World will be voting against Conservatives.

I'm literally sick to my stomach today.

Bigun, this is getting scary!

I know you didn't address me, but, yes, it is.  We are headed into uncharted waters here, and they look very choppy to those of us who can see.

Trump's on Meet the Press right now going Truther again. "Bush could have prevented 9/11.  He should have known."

Bigun, this is getting scary!

I believe Scalia's passing indirectly benefits Trump...more than any other GOP candidate running.

Ted Cruz is the one suffering the most.

My reasoning is that the media will terrorize the public about the importance of electing a Democrat to keep 'Progressing', and not giving the Conservatives the power to stack the Supreme Court.

Cruz is unabashedly a Conservative.  Trump...a Moderate Republican who will attract crossovers in the election.

In my world, there can be no defending the debate of last night. None.

If it is any kind of index, Trump actually made me feel somewhat warm toward Jeb Bush last night, and Bush would be quite nearly my last choice.

Time will tell, but I think Donald made a serious tactical error last night. Coming out of New Hampshire with a nice win and a head of steam, leading in SC by double digits, he would have done well to appear relaxed and Presidential, while directing most of his fire toward the Democrats. But I don't believe that ability is within him.
"The most terrifying force of death, comes from the hands of Men who wanted to be left Alone. They try, so very hard, to mind their own business and provide for themselves and those they love. They resist every impulse to fight back, knowing the forced and permanent change of life that will come from it. They know, that the moment they fight back, their lives as they have lived them, are over. -Alexander Solzhenitsyn

As i was catching up on the posts since I went to bed last night, I think I read "Trump" and "moderate" in the same sentence.

I can't seem to come up with any s scenario where I can use those two words in one sentence and make any sort of sense.

Trump's General Election weakness is clearly reflected in this forum.

He has a solid core of supporters who wouldn't give a shit if he clubbed baby seals to death while shoving a gigantic baseball bat up Lady Liberty's copper arse on national TV, and an even larger group of passiknats detractors who see him as a danger to the country.

His positive/negative rating is upside down.

Trump loses the General election to any old and tired wombat the DNC manages to nominate.

My mood last night was extremely sullen, largely due to Justice Scalia's passing but also because of dealings with regulatory bodies on the business front.  I recorded the debates and engaged on about a 30-minute lag.  I prayed silently that one takeaway of the debates would be some kind of optimism.  Yes... Hope.  The epic bs on display had just the opposite effect.  What a clown show... The shallow attacks, childish animations, un-substantive points.  Beautiful, wonderful, really great, amazing... idiot, liar, your dad, your brother...  WMD's? Really?

And perhaps worse, I took a tour around various so-called conservative forums this morning...  My God.  Then, there is the glee on FB, twitter, and other social pages regarding the passing of a true patriot and brilliant legal mind.  A man who understood the Constitutional construct of our nation.

Bernie... Hillary... Ignoring serious rule of law while trumpeting the petty...

I wouldn't be surprised if organized terrorist groups are tabling (not canceling) attack plans to see how badly we damage ourselves, how weak we become.

Glad to know I'm not the only one that feels that way.
The Republic is lost.

I read your post where you promised to start going Native on Trump Supporters.

There is NO alternative to Donald Trump if you want to see a GOP victory in November.

Cruz is Public Enemy #1 on Capitol Hill and in the MSM.  Rubio is a 'child' among men.  Jeb Bush is a Bush.

As i was catching up on the posts since I went to bed last night, I think I read "Trump" and "moderate" in the same sentence.

I can't seem to come up with any s scenario where I can use those two words in one sentence and make any sort of sense.

Well, then grab a 2nd cup of coffee, my friend!

Indeed it is! Time to take the gloves off and put an end to this Trump nonsense!

Scalia died when he did to bring us together.   Right on brother - let's unite to put an end to Trumpism and use anger constructively to persuade a nation to rise against the real enemy.

I can tell you this much! I am no longer willing to play nice with Trump supporters! I have joined the ranks of the he must be taken out by any means possible crowd!

I've been saying this for a while. That his true colors are coming out more and more reinforces this. It has gotten to the point his campaign is a cross between Robert Downy Jr., A WWE storyline, and Alex Jones.

He really, really turned me off last night. I've given him plenty of room because of his usefulness so far in the process, and the hope that if he did become the established frontrunner, he'd change up his game and be the positive visionary that he is capable of being.

What I saw last night is a man who is not able to rise above the caricature of himself. He just kept attacking and getting crazier with it by the minute. I saw his after interview and he kept right with it. Then there was the whole truther thing, and the 'Bush lied' thing.

What I saw was a man who cannot control his impulses and reacts to any provocation with kneejerk scorched earth. I can't put my confidence in someone who can be prodded and goaded that easily to go unhinged.
