Donald Trump: Marco Rubio "wants amnesty" because he is Hispanic

Donald Trump said on Thursday that Marco Rubio favors "amnesty" for undocumented immigrants because the Florida senator and his parents are Hispanic.


"That's why he wants amnesty," Trump told Erin Burnett during an interview on "Erin Burnett OutFront."


The billionaire repeatedly pointed to Rubio's efforts in support of a 2013 bipartisan immigration reform bill, which passed the Senate but stalled in the House, as evidence against his Republican primary rival.


"He was always in favor of amnesty, he was always in favor of letting people pour into the country," Trump said, "then what happened is, when people found that out, he sank like a rock in the water."


Trump also suggested that no more than 10% of the 11 million undocumented immigrants living in the country pay taxes.

To Trump, anything that falls short of his plan of kicking down doors and dragging 11 million people out and into detention camps - pending deportation,  is called amnesty.

I have read Rubio's immigration policy, and it is a sensible approach.

And Trump SHOULD be attacked.  He is running an ugly campaign intended to damage the Republican Party so his friend Hillary can win the White House.  His tirade in Iowa last night, insulting Iowans that don't support him, using profanity and equating Ben Carson with a child molester, sounded like a street-corner rage by the town drunk.  (And Trump did sound drunk and looked drunk, tugging up his pants and waving his meaty paws in the air). 

I support Marco Rubio, who shows more class than Trump ever has.  Trump is being ridiculed as we speak on every cable network for his childish tantrum last night.

But, his supporters think his idiotic rantings are cool.

What's wrong with saying this?  It's not unusual for someone to want exceptions for his or her ancestral people.  Another example of people sharing this sentiment are Jeb and Columba Bush.   

If Marco Rubio has rational, reasonable reasons for wanting amnesty for "undocumented immigrants"--he should voice them.  And if he feels his political stand has nothing to do with his heritage, then let him explain how he intends to provide the same protections for "undocumented immigrants" from China, the Middle East, Africa, and Europe as well.

Good grief.  I haven't heard Trump saying anything about knocking in anybody's door.  But illegals are criminals period.  They should be treated as such and deported.  He made it very clear, that they are welcome to come back into the country legally.  I don't understand why that seems to offend people.  Illegals have broken the law they should NOT be rewarded.

Rubio was anti-amnesty to get elected and soon changed his tune once he was elected.  He is part of the establishment.  He should not be trusted.
