Democrats To Introduce Bill That Could Block All Legal Gun Sales Indefinitely

...Sens. Richard Blumenthal and Chris Murphy plan to unveil their latest attempt to disarm the American people on Wednesday. The bill, which they call a “modest measure” would allow the feds to delay a background check indefinitely, thus denying law-abiding citizens their 2nd Amendment rights...

...“Senator Blumenthal and I are going to join together to introduce what we think is a modest measure, to just assure that no guns get sold to people who can’t pass a background check,” said Murphy.

Here’s the problem: the 72-hour time limit is there so the feds can’t drag their ass and deny a person his or her right to purchase a firearm. The National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS) is supposed to be instant for a reason....

Never gonna pass. It won't even get a vote in the Senate.  McConnell will bury it in a committee and it won't be brought up.
