Shooter's father blames guns – not son – for massacre
'Every time something like this happens, they talk about it and nothing is done'

Ian Mercer

In a staggering twist of logic, the father of Umpqua Community College killer Christopher Harper-Mercer is blaming guns, rather than his son, for the bloody killing spree that ended with nine innocent people dead.

In an interview with CNN, Ian Mercer claims he doesn’t blame guns, then spends much of the interview refuting that assertion. Mercer does not indicate that he believes his son was solely responsible for the massacre.

Of course he does.

Beats blaming the face he sees in the mirror, don't it?

I keep hearing Barack and the liberals saying this over and over - but yet, they won't come right out and say what it is that they think should be done!

I already know what it is - but these whiny idiots won't come out and say it because they know it would blow the scheme.  They want to take legally owned guns away from law-abiding citizens.   Excuse me just a minute...

...I had to put my tinfoil hat back on.  These incidents are happening with a  funny sequence of patterns and timing.  They are becoming "predictable".  Almost always, they involve legally purchased guns, with the shooter having a history of problems - yet able to still pass the background check and purchase the gun.

And there's Obama, always soon after on TV with his angry 'turd tucked under his lower lip' look - glaring at us and saying "something has to be done".

I really think there are a few more of these incidents in store - and that Obama will pull something big before he leaves office.

Whether it is this incident, or the last few, or the next one. Whether the parents are liberals or conservatives or apolitical, when the youthful perps are mentally ill*, they should not have firearms.

The parents, other family and friends, should be very mindful of these risks. We have enough examples.

We might want to be mature about it also, and not spread rumors the first day that he is a homosexual muslims, because you can tell just by looking.

* He went to a school for mental disabilities and conditions, autism, aspergers, etc.

But even after doing all of that right, it is possible tor a loner with no records, to get 13 guns and ammunition and go on a rampage.

Time may reveal that. The mothers of the shooters should be devastated.

It's probably hard to come to terms with your dead son being a murdering psychopath just days after it happened.
