Have been thinking a lot about some of my dearest friends cultivated over many, many years here and on TOS that deplore the idea of a Donald Trump nomination. I wish you all to know that I totally respect all the differences of opinions.
It's not the first time that I've found myself on the opposite side of an issue with some of you. Elian Gonzalez and Terry Schiavo come to mind. But I digress....
As far as other members whom I haven't had the luxury of time to get to 'know' each other, you should know that I normally don't deliver ad hominems, except when responding to one toward me or my opinion.
Same as any 'normal' person would do, I would imagine.
Would like everyone here to understand where I'm coming from when it comes to Donald Trump as a viable candidate.
I wouldn't hesitate to vote for Donald Trump, regardless of his positions on social issues. Don't give a damn about social positions of the GOP Nominee, because it's my contention that the coming majority-GOP House and Senate will hold the winner of the election in check. At least for the first two years of the administration. And we have all seen what can happen with a super majority of one party. Obamacare anyone?
There are 95 MILLION Americans gone from the work force. 52% of women are unemployed.
95% of college graduates today may as well wipe their asses with their degrees. So "Social Issues" can take a walk, IMO.
Just want everyone to consider what we have going on today.
The Democratic Party may as well be called the Communist Party. They've had plenty of time to disprove that charge. Instead, they apparently seem to embrace it.
So....you either vote Republican or you're essentially sanctioning Communist-type federal government rule with a 'Pravda' media complex.
Look at the rest of the GOP field please.
PLEASE!! If Mitt Romney couldn't win, who among the stable of today's candidates could do better? Ted Cruz? Ben Carson? Gimme a break.
Accomplishments and a blue-ribbon resume have proven to mean squat. Romney was perfect for the time...after four nightmarish years of Barack Obama and Valerie Jarrett? Are you serious?
Every one of the GOP candidates will get BURIED in the general.
EVERYONE of them except one.
He's the one who has thrown away the politically correct mindset in order to reach a majority of American voters. I'm confident he's done this on purpose. A year out? Outrageous rhetoric finds the spotlight. The spotlight enables one to get their word out. He's a master of manipulating the media....been doing it for a decade or more.
So...it's either Donald Trump or an acceptance of more of the same which Obama is feeding us. The Democratic Party is anti Constitution and anti-free market capitalism.
I'm going to be 70 years old before the general election and God willing, I'll live to see the outcome.
But for those of you who have goals and dreams that extend beyond tomorrow morning...unlike me ( who is thankful I wake up each morning)?
You need to wake up too.
BILLIONS of peoples' hopes and dreams across the planet are at risk.
Thanks for your consideration.
