Again, did Trump break the law?
Evidently the laws in NJ allow for Eminent Domain to private individuals or corporations.
Virginia just passed a constitutional amendment to prevent that so if the citizens of NJ want to stop it then fix the laws.
I am not endorsing how Trump uses the law to his advantage but just because he has a team of smart lawyers and figures out how to make the law work for him instead of against him does not make him the criminal you are trying to portray him as.

It was wrong for him to use it.. What was your thought on the Kelo case??

Kevin, I don't hate anyone, I don't think that the others have real fight in them to make the changes we need made this time around.
As I have stated before, I like Perry.  He is smart and a great problem solver but he is a gentleman and will be destroyed in the general by the left.

Sorry if you think that a candidate that is going to be a loud mouth schnook is not going to win the general election..

With the exception of Cruz, they are all milktoast.  More of the same go along to get along.

Walker is milktoast (sic) after all he took on in Wisconsin?

1.  I am not from NJ so I have no authority to tell NJ how to run their state.
2.  Trump did not break the law.
3.  There are hard luck stories all across America, foreclosed homes for example, kids getting thrown out on the street so a bank can comply with the loan agreement.
4.  I believe in the rule of law, even if it is uncomfortable or distasteful.

Since many of you want to use this hack as a tool to cover your jelousy I thought you may want to know who Thomas Ewing is:
He is a IP lawyer in San Francisco and has never had a real job.

Obviously missing from his list of represented clients is Mr. Trump but he sure represented the cream of the crops of equally complicit organizations but chooses to wield his liberal ax on Trump.

I thought TBR people were better than this....

 :patriot:

Not all of us dislike him.

I'd been self-employed since I delivered newspapers at the age of 12.   I think business owners appreciate the mind of Donald Trump.

BK, I am not trying to convince anyone that Trump is a saint.
All I am trying to do is sort thru the BS and get to the facts, as best I can, so I can really figure out who I want to vote for.
I am tired of media hacks pumping gallons of worthless BS on the fire and pushing voters to support some personal vendetta.

Trump, and many like him, hire lobbyists to manipulate politicians to make laws favorable to them, to the determent of private citizens. He didn't seize the property on his own, he all did it legally, by hiring lobbyists to get politicians to do his dirty work for him. Being legal doesn't mean it is right. Some of the most corrupt, evil things in our society are and have been legal. That type of corruption has been one of the things destroying our society and Trump is one of the kings of this.

Some years ago our city council considered using ED for a downtown redevelopment zone, but the citizens raised hell.

Without any elections, recalls, the council passed a rule to not condemn any residential property.

Since then, for over 25 years redevelopment, development has continued but leaves housing in place.

Republican district, too.

This has been pretty much the pattern in our area. Maintain what is good about the old town centers, and don't kick people out of homes. Rehab or replace shabby commercial properties.

Did Trump break the law?
Everyone hires lobbyists to do their dirty work so why is Trump being singled out?
If you don't like the law, change it don't slam people for following the law just because you don't like them.

Exactly!

How many movie plots have we seen where people living in crime-ridden neighborhoods and projects are projected a having no place to go...but show the investors who want to bring a new birth of economic prosperity to a city are portrayed as evil, greedy bass turds?

Think Harbor Place and the whole of South Baltimore.

If not for Harbor Place development, there wouldn't be Oriole Park at Camden Yards...OR the Ravens' stadium.

Or the Horseshoe....legalized slots and gambling.

There's two sides to every story.

If the law were enforced fairly and equally, billionaires like Trump would not be able to get away with the things they do.

Keep in mind he is running for the position of President, which is ultimately in charge of what laws get enforced in this country.

You know the rules.  It's not enough to just not break the law.  Candidates who act with questionable morality get criticized.  All of them all the time.

Yet people complained about Mitt Romney (who made his money without the power of the Government).

That was simply the power the media has to cast anyone in a negative light.

The media will destroy Trump at the proper time...

The media will destroy and conservative at any point in time because they are use to them backing down and caving and not calling them out. With TRUMP that is a different story. He is the AGRESSOR  and will call them out and put them on the defense or dismiss them like he did to the Anderson Cooper, Matt Leure and a couple of  info babes. They are actually afraid of TRUMP and if they go there with him he will make them look like the fools they really are and they do not want that and he does not care who the pundit is. :chairbang:

True Conservatives, people of claimed principles, in fact suffer from whiplash.

Only months ago, the Supreme Court Kelo decision was widely denounced, as being an improper ruling. Support for Kelo would be classified as GOPe and Chamber of Commerce, as a matter of fact.

How quickly principle gets set aside, for the latest flavor of the month.
