President Barack Obama has signed an executive order authorizing the creation of new supercomputing research initiative called the National Strategic Computing Initiative, or NSCI. Its goal: pave the way for the first exaflop supercomputer—something that’s about 30 times faster than today’s fastest machines.

Impressive. It may almost be fast enough to count Obama's contribution to the national debt.

The down side to the NSA data center.

It's simply too damned big (and with too many constant inputs) for queries using current computers to give meaningful results.

Sounds like the NSA surveillance state is hitting capacity and needs an upgrade.
