Obama has always had the goal/fantasy of attacking Israel with military force. He has already put silent defacto 'sanctions' on Israel by limiting military shipments to the nation, and severely restricting Israeli visa applications among other things.
However, this is not enough for Obama and his primarily Muslim administration. He wants full armed conflict with the nation of Israel. That is why he supported so vigorously what he, and Hillary, called the 'Arab Spring', which was in fact an attempted overthrow of all moderate Muslim nations in the M.E and North Africa by Obama's "home boys" in the Muslim Brotherhood, with the sub-goal that this would eventually lead to an all out attack on Israel.
The eventual attack on Israel was intended to be an attack specifically funded and directed by Barak Obama, using the M.B. as his proxy soldiers. This, of course, is why he sent billions of dollars in military equipment and money to Egypt, including arms, tanks, and jet fighters, when it was controlled by his Muslim Brotherhood, and stopped these military and money transfers as soon as the M.B. was overthrown and ousted.
The overthrow of Libya was part of Hussien's larger campaign, and had nothing at all to do with Quaddafi or any contrived 'danger of a civilian massacre', as Obama and his lackeys kept pushing on the world. This was nonsense. It was total propaganda to allow Obama and Hillary to clear the way for their M.B. to take yet another country. However, with the ousting of the M.B. in Egypt, Obama's grand plan for conquest of the M.E. by proxy began to fall apart, since Egypt was intended to be their H.Q. and base of operations for further conquests. By the time the M.B. got to Libya, they were not nearly strong enough to take and hold it from the other elements which were already there, particularly Al Queda among others.
And so, Libya became a 'no man's land' as it still is today.
Back to Israel for a minute, because the destruction of Israel was a major part of Obama's plan. During the illegal and unprovoked attack on Libya, Hillary and Obama rolled out a new and very dangerous premise. They were calling it, "A duty to protect". This idea, as presented by those in the Obama administration, was that America was justified in attacking Libya because of some unproven, unverified, basically 'made up' idea that civilians in Libya were in some kind of imminent danger of being slaughtered. Why Quaddafi would want to 'slaughter' his own civilians was never explained, and the question was simply ignored by the press and the world.
Regardless, Obama and Hillary kept pushing the premise that America had a 'duty to protect' the civilians of Libya from the ethereal, vague, threat which they simply made up.
The whole 'duty to protect' rule was ultimately intended to justify an American attack, or American supported attack, on the nation of Israel. If Hillary and Obama could get the 'duty to protect' meme to stick, then they could postulate that they have a 'duty to protect' the Arabs in Israel which call themselves 'Palestinians', and therefore could justify sanctions and attacks on Israel as they did in Libya. This was the ultimate goal.
Fortunately the 'duty to protect' meme failed, in part because it is an idiotic idea. If America truly had a duty to protect all civilians everywhere, America would be involved in hundreds of conflicts all over the world. Obviously, the 'duty to protect' rule was intended to be used very selectively to justify American attacks on whomever they choose for whatever reason they say. Thankfully, the world saw straight through what Obama/Hillary were attempting and did not buy into it at all.
It is odd that Obama and Hillary while so adamant that they had to "save the civilians of Libya" over a vague threat of harm, even to the point of overthrowing the country with military force, at the same time they both reject the idea that America has any 'duty to protect' the tens of thousands of civilians which are actively being slaughtered in real time, even as I write this, in the M.E. by ISIS.
Obama and Hillary are both despicable people with a terrible agenda. And, they will say whatever they have to say to further that agenda, without regard for logic, rational, or truth. It is reassuring that in the world at large, sans the American media, they know this full well.
