Obama Cuts Food, HealthCare for Vets, Spends $287 Mil on Morale Improvement

Obama cut healthcare for veterans [1]. He even cut meals for US soldiers on the front lines of the war [2].

The Army has stopped serving cooked breakfasts to some of the U.S. soldiers in Afghanistan as part of its drawdown, a move that prompted troops to write home asking their families and friends to send care packages with cereal, breakfast bars and other foods.

The Army told the Washington Guardian the current cutbacks began Jan. 1, and affect about 2,700 soldiers deployed in forward operating bases in more remote areas of Afghanistan.

Religious chaplains were purged, but Obama did make sure that the soldiers had all the drag shows they wanted [3]… though the amount they wanted was apparently zero.

Since the repeal of the Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell policy, U.S. military bases have hosted gay marriage ceremonies and potluck gatherings. But on Saturday, servicemembers here may have been the first to take to the stage and perform as drag queens on a military installation in support of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender troops.

Drag queens and drag kings, to be premise.

Six servicemembers – gay, lesbian and straight – donned heavy makeup to dance and lip sync songs such as “I Wanna Dance with Somebody” for a raucous capacity crowd at the Rocker NCO Club at Kadena Air Base. The event was a fundraiser for the recently formed Okinawa chapter of OutServe-SLDN, which is the largest nonprofit advocate for the military’s LGBT community.

Now, surprisingly, morale is terrible [4].

More than half of some 770,000 soldiers are pessimistic about their future in the military and nearly as many are unhappy in their jobs, despite a six-year, $287 million campaign to make troops more optimistic and resilient, findings obtained by USA TODAY show.

In addition to low optimism and job satisfaction, more than half reported poor nutrition and sleep, and only 14% said they are eating right and getting enough rest.

Apparently if you trash the military, cut health care and food, and replace chaplains with drag queens, morale will fall.

The only question is how much of that $287 million went to fund Obama’s drag shows.
