Corrupt San Francisco and Seattle Mayors Denounce Religious Freedom, Boycott Indiana

Posted By Daniel Greenfield On March 29, 2015 @ 3:24 pm In The Point | No Comments

San Francisco Mayor Edwin Lee and Seattle Mayor Ed Murray showed the renowned tolerance that the left is known for by announcing a boycott of Indiana for protecting the religious freedom of those business owners who believe in the Bible.

Seattle Mayor Ed Murray says he will not allow work-related city-funded travel to Indiana, after the passage of the Religious Freedom Restoration Act, which has the potential to discriminate against LGBT people and others based on religious beliefs.

Murray, who is the city’s first openly gay mayor, says Seattleites know that discrimination has no place in their city.

Unless it’s discrimination against Christians and Jews.

Murray plans to issue an executive order next week that will ban all city travel to Indiana. He also will order all departments to review their contracts to see if the city is doing any business in Indiana.

Speaking of reviewing contracts, let’s recall the dirty way that Ed Murray became Mayor.

One of Seattle Mayor Mike McGinn’s big policy initiatives has been expanding the quality and quantity of high-speed Internet access throughout the city. A public-private partnership plans to offer higher speeds at lower prices than most broadband providers currently offer. And incumbent providers, particularly Comcast, have invested heavily in defeating McGinn in Tuesday’s mayoral election.

That would be the company whose CEO Obama golfs with on a regular basis. But don’t worry. Comcast has good LGBT employee policies while screwing actual customers.

On Friday, San Francisco Mayor Edwin M. Lee announced that he was banning all city-funded trips to Indiana in light of the passing of what some call discriminatory legislation.

Lee ordered city departments to bar city employees from taking work-related trips to Indiana on the taxpayer’s dime unless it’s necessary for public health and safety.

“San Francisco taxpayers will not subsidize legally sanctioned discrimination against lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people by the state of Indiana,” Lee said.

Meanwhile San Francisco taxpayers are compelled to subsidize Lee’s anti-religious discrimination because they’re a voting minority.

How dirty is Edwin Lee? So dirty that the FBI tried to get him in a string. The FBI didn’t, Zynga did.

Two days after the Nov. 8, 2011, San Francisco mayoral election, Mayor Edwin M. Lee and his top campaign contributor, the Silicon Valley investor Ron Conway, met for a two-hour dinner at Café des Amis in San Francisco’s tony Marina District.

The topic, as Mr. Conway described it: how to “preserve the momentum” of the independent expenditure committees for which the investor had raised $600,000 to help elect Mr. Lee. The outcome of the dinner was the San Francisco Citizens Initiative for Technology & Innovation, or sf.citi, a nonprofit technology business league with the goal of helping to lure technology companies to San Francisco.

Five months after the election, however, questions have been raised about Mr. Lee’s actions on behalf of companies in which Mr. Conway has a financial interest. The mayor’s actions follow a controversy in 2011 in which Mr. Lee, while serving as interim mayor, helped steer local tax breaks to Twitter and Zynga, two other companies backed by Mr. Conway.

How about a ban on taxpayer money and corporate bribe money going to Edwin Lee and Ed Murray?

I bet the city of Seattle doesn't even do business in Indiana.  Pure hysterical overreaction.
The Constitution is not a suggestion.

Unless it’s discrimination against Christians and Jews.

Funny... I haven't seen any orders for kosher deli's to serve ham sandwiches...
