WOW! The courage it took to fly those dive bombers in combat! And wow the disabled landings on the deck of an aircraft carrier in highwinds were amazing. Just wow!!!

Fascinating. Although my late father served on an LST in the South Pacific, not a carrier,  such a video gives me a little hint of the dangers the men on his ship - and all our ships - experienced in WWII.

I stand in awe of these men and, yes, their generation.  That we as a nation could overcome so much with such grit, determination and the rawest courage is indeed awe inspiring.  If we in our current iteration could capture just a fraction...
