Democrats in the U.S. Senate blocked the Keystone XL pipeline bill from moving forward on Monday, but supporters of the project vowed to push ahead and eventually get a vote on the measure.

The Senate voted 54 to 37 to limit debate on the bill that would allow Congress to approve TransCanada Corp's project to link Canada's oil sands to refineries on the Gulf Coast. The measure needed 60 to pass.

This is time to trash the GOP since they obviously failed big time. Better call them lotsa names. Who should we blame?

Let's blame the Majority Leader, since he had all factions of the GOP united. What a great example of failed leadership.

Question? How come Cruz can't sway the democrats over, too? Not enough magical rhetoric?

This is yet more proof the Republicans are the same as the democrats.

[[ The Senate voted 54 to 37 to limit debate on the bill that would allow Congress to approve TransCanada Corp's project to link Canada's oil sands to refineries on the Gulf Coast. The measure needed 60 to pass. ]]

Well, that oughta settle it.

It's obvious that any Keystone legislation is going to get nowhere.
Obama will veto it, and there is not going to be enough democratic support in either house of Congress to override a presidential veto.

The Pubbies should put the Keystone off to the side, until the 2016 election campaign heats up.

Then -- bring it up for another vote, and make all the 'rats go on the record.

May help a little, or maybe not.

One this is for certain (and I have stated this again and again in Keystone-related threads):
There will be no Keystone until Obama leaves office.

That is all...
