Emperor Obama “Grubering” Stupid Americans

Barack Obama, officially now a self defined emperor, took to the airwaves Thursday night, and made his magisterial, immigration proclamation. We can assume, following the ObamaCare model of deceit, Barack will supplement this imperial order with the same kind of fiction he and his elitist bud, Jonathan Gruber recently, successfully foisted on all those stupid Americans.
The following is a Cliff Notes version of Emperor Obama’s words as they were fact checked by the AP (of all organizations), with some commentary and an analogy offered your humble author.
Emperor: “All we’re saying is we’re not going to deport you.”
The Facts: “The changes also will make those covered eligible for work permits, allowing them to be employed in the country legally and compete with citizens and legal residents for better-paying jobs.”
Analogy: Those saying Obama’s plan of prosecutorial discretion is like a police officer choosing not to ticket a motorist doing 70 in a 55 MPH zone are missing the much bigger picture. In Barack’s lawless world the driver is unlicensed and, not only getting a pass on the speeding summons, but being given a license to drive.
Emperor: “Overall, the number of people trying to cross our border illegally is at its lowest level since the 1970s.”
The Facts: “The decline in crossings is not purely, or perhaps even primarily, due to the Obama administration. The deep economic recession early in his presidency and the shaky aftermath made the U.S. a less attractive place to come for work.”
Commentary: The Obama economy was so awful not even impoverished, desperate illegal aliens wanted to come work here. Their risk was not worth the reward.
Emperor: “When I took office, I committed to fixing this broken immigration system.”
The Facts: “….He promised as a candidate for president in 2008 to have an immigration bill during his first year in office and move forward on it quickly.”
Commentary: The Emperor had Democrat super majorities in both Houses of Congress for two years and did nothing. He and his Dem buddies also had control of both the Senate and House (2007& 2008), with a compliant George Bush as president, when Senator Obama dropped poison pill amendments into the then pending, bipartisan immigration bill.
Emperor: “Although this summer, there was a brief spike in unaccompanied children being apprehended at our border, the number of such children is now actually lower than it’s been in nearly two years.”
The Facts: “The number of unaccompanied children apprehended at the border has been on the rise since the 2011 budget year. That year about 16,000 children were found crossing the border alone. In 2012, the Border Patrol reported more than 24,000 children, followed by more than 38,800 in 2013. In the last budget year, more than 68,361 children were apprehended.”
Commentary: This is a lie so blatant and easily discovered, one could envision even Gruber shaking his swelled head and rolling his beady little eyes.
It’s important to note the AP Factcheck is only scrutinizing the Emperor’s 15 minute decree. They didn’t even touch on the complete fantasy of properly executing this scam. Can anyone imagine a federal government that used the better part of a year, and tons of money to build a dysfunctional website, suddenly being able to meticulously screen and research the authenticity of 5 million applications from previously undocumented foreigners? Using Obama’s final 2 years in office as a timeframe, and dividing those 5 million people by 500 working days, means government bureaucrats would be tasked with competently processing 10,000 new applicants daily! Sure.
Even as the latest fraud on the ObamaCare signup numbers is exposed, lowering original enrollee numbers from 8 million to under 7 million, the Emperor comes forward, and with elitist, condescending, Gruber-like contempt, treats his subjects to yet another set of lies masquerading as impossible, utopian promises.
What’s the difference between Jonathan Gruber’s and Barack Obama’s view of Americans? The former got caught on tape numerous times, in front of a laughing audience, publicly mocking his fellow countrymen. The latter, seethes with the same kind of distain, but reveals it by decreeing terribly failed policies, contrary to the will of those he sees as his uninformed subjects.
Unlike Gruber, Barack Obama mostly keeps his contemptuous tone, derisive comments, and scornful guffaws hidden behind thick castle walls. The Emperor should be warned, however, those outside the barricades, disrespected and increasingly left out of the process, are becoming more and more restless….precisely because they are far from stupid.
