Mental Health Issues Put 34,500 on New York’s No-Guns List

"A newly created database of New Yorkers deemed too mentally unstable to carry firearms has grown to roughly 34,500 names, a previously undisclosed figure that has raised concerns among some mental health advocates that too many people have been categorized as dangerous."

***************************************************************

This is what will happen if conservatives push the idea of keeping guns away from the 'mentally-ill' at the federal-level.

You'll all wake up one day and find that you too have been deemed 'mentally-ill' and have forfeited your 2A rights because someone else has reported you as “likely to engage in conduct that would result in serious harm to self or others.”

Just belonging to the Republican Party is enough to convince some people of your insanity...

This is exactly why Liberals are so STUPID. And I mean that with a Capital STUPID!

If someone is a criminal; if someone has mental health issues, what could possibly make you think that some 'law' is going to keep them from getting a gun?

They will get a gun with or without you.
You cannot "COEXIST" with people who want to kill you.
If they kill their own with no conscience, there is nothing to stop them from killing you.
Rational fear and anger at vicious murderous Islamic terrorists is the same as irrational antisemitism, according to the Leftists.

Exactly. Certain political or religious beliefs (Don't believe in a "right" to homosexual marriage? You're insane!) certainly could be grounds for denial of Second Amendment rights.

That's pretty much how it will work.

Conservatives shouldn't think there is safety for the 2A in supporting stronger mental-health laws as a means to satisfy gun-control activists...

Well, any conservative who chooses to remain in a "new slavery" state like New York might just be "insane"...   :)

Best to get out, while the gettin's good, to one of the remaining states that still respects traditional freedom...
