Even MSNBC's Andrea Mitchell said that West Africans cannot be trusted to honestly answer Ebola questionnaires before hopping on flights to America.
On Sunday's Meet the Press, Mitchell also noted that the Obama administration, which refuses to institute an Ebola flight ban, does not even think it can screen everyone from West Africa. She said the federal government thinks that "if they go to a small number, four main airports [JFK, Dulles, O'Hare, Newark], they can get about 75% of the people coming in."
"You cannot trust people to believe to be asked a questionnaire at the port of departure in Africa," she continued.
Panelist Joe Scarborough said that if someone has a six-year-old daughter in West Africa and thinks she may have Ebola, that person has no incentive to honestly answer the screening questions.
"Are you going to come to the United States?" he asked. "I'm coming to the United States to try to save my daughter's life."
As Breitbart News has noted, the Liberian immigrant--Thomas Eric Duncan--who became the first person on America soil to be diagnosed with Ebola--reportedly knew he had the disease and flew to the United States in a "desperate attempt to survive." Duncan, who is in critical condition, also should never have been awarded a vias in the first place. As Breitbart Texas reported, thousands of passengers from countries with Ebola outbreaks have been allowed to enter the United States this year without any additional screening and there are more than a dozen flights from Liberia to America every day.
