If that is true, then WHY did the Obama administration pull out the entire American military presence in Iraq and leave that country in the hands of a still active terrorist organization?
A nervous and sometimes stuttering Ben Rhodes admitted the administration long knew of the ISIS threat in Iraq, but offered no reasonable explanation as to why the administration pulled the entire U.S. military presence from the country prior to the 2012 Election. Detractors have long thought the pull out was a political ploy by the Obama White House at the expense of thousands of lives now lost to ISIS terrorists.
Despite Barack Obama dismissing ISIS as nothing more than a “junior varsity” group that posed no real threat to anyone, Rhodes was today saying just the opposite, his comments mirroring those of recent statements by Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel who described ISIS as an “imminent threat to every interest we have.”
How could an administration be so differing from what cabinet members and advisers are now saying vs the Commander in Chief? Is the gap between the president’s views and reality due in great part to Barack Obama’s indifference when it comes to attending security briefings? Could it be his purposeful purging of the military itself? In 2013, several retired generals described it as just that, to the tune of nearly 200 high ranking officers in just over five years, (most in the last few years) the majority of those coming from the ranks of officers serving in the very parts of the world now quite literally on fire.
And while the U.S. military has been purged, Taliban terrorists are being freed, Israel is being attacked, and ISIS threatens not only the Middle East, but the United States.
It’s almost as if the Obama administration removed American soldiers from the region and then told the terrorists – COME AND GET IT…
