Israeli man badly wounded by Hamas rocket while trying to protect children with his body

Hamas has been firing lots of rockets trying to overwhelm the Iron Dome system and it appears some rockets are getting through, at least in the southern areas of Israel.
The latest dangerous volley came this morning in Israel when a man in the Eshkol region of Israel was badly wounded by a Hamas rocket while trying to protect the children around him.
INN reports that the man, who didn’t make it to the protected area before the rocket landed, laid down on the children near him to protect them with this body and was hit in the chest by a shell fragment from a Hamas rocket.
The medical team who came on the scene reported that he was conscious but in a lot of pain.
INN also reports that a kindergarten was hit by a rocket, but thankfully no one was there.
To many I’m sure this man is a hero. But he shouldn’t have to be a hero, nor should Israelis have to worry about being killed on a daily basis because their Islamic neighbors want to annihilate them because they are Jews.
It’s time for Israel to destroy Hamas, take back Gaza and end the experiment of giving land to the Palestinians for peace. It’s failed and Israel needs to do what is in the best interest of protecting Israelis. And if that means running Gaza like they do Judea and Samaria, then that’s what they need to do.
