This entire mess that what used to be Iraq has descended into can best be described as "The Biden Doctrine".  Joe Biden has pressed for 3 independent countries, Sunni, Shiia and Kurdish, since his days on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.  This whole idea of splitting Iraq has been denounced by anyone and everyone who had ever taken the time to try and understand Post-Saddam Iraqi politics, because they knew it would deteriorate into exactly what we are seeing now.  This is but one of the things former Defense Secretary Bob Gates said that Biden has been wrong about for forty years.  What makes it worse is that Syria has been in civil war under Obama's watch and nobody who understood Iraq figured in a protracted civil war in Syria like we have seen for the last three years.

I cannot imagine any Middle Eastern leader who considers Joe Biden an asset to the situation in any way.  He gets formal recognition of the Office he fills, but that's as far as it goes.  Biden is an even bigger joke in the Middle East than he is here at home.  It is a reflection of just how low United States Foreign Policy has sunk under Obama and Kerry that Joe Biden is now the guy over there representing the US.

Obama has already accomplished "regime change" as the old Iraq has ceased to exist.
