The Grande Dame of the Anti-Israel Media Establishment
In 2010, a rabbi with a video camera asked Helen Thomas if she had any thoughts on Israel. The nonagenarian grande-dame of the White House Press Corps did: “Tell them to get the hell out of Palestine!” Rabbi Nesenoff asked where the Jews should go. “They should go home!” insisted Thomas. “Poland. Germany. And America. And everywhere else. . . .” When asked if she were familiar with the history, Thomas answered, “Very much. I’m of Arab background,” as if her lineage guaranteed expertise.
Playboy allowed Thomas to see what they planned to publish: “Thomas was fired for saying that the Jews of Israel should move to Europe, where their relatives had been slaughtered. . . . She believes . . . the world's only Jewish country should be replaced by what would be the world's 23rd Arab country . . . but that the Jews are undeserving of a nation-state in their homeland, which has had a continuous Jewish presence for 3,000 years. . . .” Thomas asked, “Did a Jew write this?”

How far one can get as an anti-Semitic journalist in a career of 70 years! Thomas’ anti-Semitism was not something she tried hard to conceal! How often was Thomas excused for making such comments? Anti-Semitism in the press corps was not unique to Thomas. And the anti-Semitic spirit of Helen Thomas is still present in the press corps today.
Targeting Jews
Vilifying the People Israel is not new. Throughout the ages, Jews have been targeted. Quite often, it was the “blood lible” that was utilized. Officials would seize on the death of a child as a reason to exterminate Jews, perniciously accusing the community of killing a child to procure blood for making matzo (unleavened bread, traditionally eaten by Jews during Passover). This libel—which seems ludicrous in light of Jewish law—has, over time, incited numerous massacres. Hamas leader Osama Hamdan declared the blood lie as true of Israelis, to Wolf Blitzer, on August 5, 2014!
An Immoral & Influential Hoax
The Protocols of the Learned Elders of Zion, a fabrication that was supposed to be a handbook of a Jewish secret society and a plan for world domination, was widely circulated. It was proven to be a hoax by the London Times in 1921. Hitler read the Protocols and proclaimed it true. Many Muslim leaders continue to use it against Jews.
Henry Ford, the car manufacturer, published the Protocols. Ford distributed hundreds of thousands of copies. Anti-Semitic articles, written by Ford, were published as a four-volume work called The International Jew: The World's Foremost Problem, sowing the seeds of Hitler’s Jewish persecution. Ford provided financial backing to Hitler, and Ford’s writings influenced the formation of the Nazi party.

The Nazis made the Protocols required reading in schools. And Hitler propagated the notion of Jewish conspiracy in Mein Kampf. Hitler’s left-wing party—the National Socialists—blamed Jews for Germany's decline following World War One. The Nazis accused Jewish bankers of “selling out the German nation.”
In Mein Kampf, Hitler creates talking points: “Propaganda . . . must present only . . . the truth which is favorable to its own side.” Hitler writes further that “effective propaganda must be confined to a few bare essentials . . . . These slogans should be persistently repeated until every last individual has come to grasp the idea that has been put forward.”
Today, America’s liberal media make use of Hitler’s propaganda formula, becoming propaganda organizations, rather than news-reporting agencies. All mainstream media outlets use the same talking points, which are “persistently repeated.”
Israel, Hamas, & the Nazi Influence on the Muslim Brotherhood
Hamas is a branch of the Muslim Brotherhood. The Brotherhood was founded in Egypt, in 1928, by Hassan al-Banna, an admirer of Hitler and of Hitler’s hatred of the Jews. Al-Banna wrote to Hitler, expressing his desire to collaborate.
When Hitler came to power, he decided to help al-Banna. Hitler needed an ally in the Mid-East, and, by 1938, the Brotherhood had 200,000 members. During World War Two, the Brotherhood spied for the Nazis. They fought for Hitler in the uniforms of Nazi soldiers, as members of the Muslim Waffen-SS Handschar Divisions (Handschar is German for “scimitar,” the curved saber Jihadists wielded under the Ottomans).
The most prominent member of the Brotherhood is Mohammed Morsi. He was the Islamo-fascist president of Egypt, until ousted by the military.
The Obama/Anti-Semitic Press
Obama’s refusal to help Israel in the current conflict is obvious. What has gone unreported in the mainstream press is Obama’s sending Secretary of Defense Hagel to Qatar (a close Brotherhood/Hamas ally) in order to provide Qatar with $11 billion of weaponry. This weaponry is being sent to Hamas to replenish them.
Democrat media generally fail to report that, as Netanyahu points out, “Israel uses rockets to protect its citizens, whereas Hamas uses its citizens to protect its rockets.” Films of seven-year-old girls sent to the front lines, firing AK-47s, are never shown. Nor are the videos of seven- and eight-year-old boys firing shoulder-launched missiles into Israel.
Israel’s Moral High Ground
Hamas claims that, since more Palestinians are being killed in the current conflict than Israelis, Hamas has the moral high ground. Well, the Axis Powers in World War Two suffered more casualties than the Allies. Does that mean that the Allies were wrong to defend themselves against Hitler and Mussolini, and that Germany and Italy held the moral high ground?
Hamas has been raining down rockets on Israel for years, as well as building a tunnel network to attack the Jewish state. Israel’s attempts to minimize civilian casualties should be admired. But pro-Islamist media continue to demonize the only safe haven for Jews in existence.
