It’s the sort of picture you have to see to believe.



 

Yes, that appears to be Secretary of State John Kerry riding a pink bicycle.

The photo was snapped Sunday in Nantucket by visitor Owen Perkins, National Review reported.

While Kerry was allegedly astride the pastel-hued bike (Perkins said Kerry “wasn’t too stoked” to be photographed), major developments were underway in the Gaza Strip, where Israel had pulled back ground forces but continued airstrikes.

It’s not the first time Kerry has snuck in some relaxation amid Middle East turmoil.

Last August, TheBlaze captured exclusive photographs of Kerry kiteboarding as Egyptian violence claimed hundreds of lives. Just last month, the 70-year-old State Department head was again photographed frolicking as international crises developed.

Photos of President Barack Obama have surfaced several times in recent years. The New Republic has expounded on how those pictures of Obama “rid[ing] a bike like a nerd” offer “a glimpse into his soul.”

I don’t think I can add anything to this photo of John Kerry riding a pink bicycle with a step through frame while Putin steps up the pressure in Ukraine, Hamas does its terrorist thing in Israel and ISIS overruns Iraq.

Putin may have stolen Crimea. ISIS may have stolen Iraq. But John Kerry stole a little girl’s bike and courageously refuses to give it back.

Looks like he’ll have something to finally add to his Winter Soldier testimony.

Aside from having “raped, cut off ears, cut off heads, taped wires from portable telephones to human genitals and turned up the power, cut off limbs, blown up bodies, randomly shot at civilians, razed villages in fashion reminiscent of Genghis Khan, shot cattle and dogs for fun, poisoned food stocks, and generally ravaged the countryside of South Vietnam” … there’s also the time that Kerry stole a little girl’s bike and generally ravaged the countryside of Nantucket.

I think it is a message of support to the gay community.  The S of S, and former Viet Nam hero , riding a non-masculine colored bike shows his "softer and gentler" side.
