"Of all the dispositions and habits which lead to political prosperity, religion and morality are indispensable supports. In vain would that man claim tribute to patriotism who should labor to subvert these great pillars of human happiness -- these firmest props of the duties of men and citizens. . . . reason and experience both forbid us to expect that national morality can prevail in exclusion of religious principles."
George Washington

One of the big campaign issues for Dems will be the "do-nothing" congress.  Republicans can put together some great ads featuring Harry Reid as the "do nothing".  Passing the border bill while the Senate was in recess was a smart move, and the GOP should shove this in the faces of every Dem senate candidate.
It's the Supreme Court nominations!

What they SHOULD do and what they WILL do are two entirely different things.  As long as McConnell and Tammy Fay Boehner are in charge, that issue won't come out.

So then why did Boehner push through the bill after the end of the session if not to use it?
