Departure from reality indeed, and he's just the guy to do it.

He's completely ignoring the glaring fact that Hamas has tunnels into Egypt as well, and that's where all those frickin' missiles get into Gaza from.  Letting Egypt negotiate a peace with Israel is as bad as letting Kerry do it over the phone from his plane while on an official trip to India.

The only way this ends is when either Israel or Hamas wins.  This is a fight to the death, by choice on the part of Hamas who refuses to stop shooting and who simply will not suffer a Jew to live.

To be totally fair to Egypt, they have about as much control of the Sinai as you do. It's a bleep lawless place at the best of times.

Like I always say - borders have two sides. When one side either can't or won't lift their share of the load, it all falls over fast.
