Dick Morris: 'I Wouldn't Be Surprised If Obama Resigned'

Thursday, July 31, 2014 04:21 PM

By: Courtney Coren

President Barack Obama has been criticized for continuing to headline political fundraisers while the country is facing so many crises, but veteran political commentator Dick Morris says the president doesn't seem to care if it hurts his image.

"I think Obama has almost 'cashed-it-in' at far as that goes," Morris told Ed Berliner on "MidPoint" on Newsmax TV Thursday.

"I think he's removed, distracted, aloof," he said.

"If I open the newspaper tomorrow and I learn that Obama resigned, I wouldn't be surprised," Morris added.

While the veteran political commentator thinks that Congress is far from pursuing impeachment of the president, he says that could change with enough evidence.

"It is entirely possible that as the evidence comes in from the IRS actions and if there is evidence of a presidential order to use the IRS to go after his political opponents in the Republican Party, and his ideological opponents in the pro-Israel movement, if there is evidence of that, then its possible impeachment will be pursued," Morris explained.

"The Democrats in the Senate would have a problem because they voted to impeach [former President Richard] Nixon over the exact same grounds," he said. "But we're far away from that."

As of now, Morris says, "We don't have the kind of evidence that's needed for impeachment. Everybody knows that."

"The only people who are talking impeachment are Obama — in an effort to paint the Republicans as nut jobs," he added.

Morris also appeared on "America's Forum" on Newsmax TV Thursday, telling hosts J.D. Hayworth and John Bachman that the president's ultimate goal is "to convert the United States into a one-party nation . . . where there is only one functioning party and a bunch of splintered opposition parties."

To reach his goal, Obama "is mobilizing all the powers of the federal government to achieve that."

Morris contends that he is doing that through his effort to grant amnesty to illegal immigrants so he can "bring as many Democratic voters into the country as he possibly can," by increasing the number of Americans who are on welfare, by increasing the union rolls "so that they can control their votes and their campaign contributions," by blocking the "filibuster for judicial confirmations . . . so that his executive actions can be approved," by eliminating the Electoral College, and by combating voter ID laws.

"Of course the IRS conduct is part and parcel of that," he added.

"These are all part and parcel of an effort to leave us his ongoing legacy — the death and destruction of the Republican Party."

America will never be destroyed from the outside. If we falter and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves. Abraham Lincoln

Wow! You know, I had never considered that point. Interesting perspective, though. Does one president–one man–have the ability to bring down a nation as large and diverse, and as well-founded, as the United States, as some have suggested? Sounds like a tall order, especially for a lazy ass empty suit like Obama.

On the other hand, can one politician with the power of an American President and the ideological bent of a Saul Alinsky damage an opposition party? After all, instead of presenting a solid front, we are witnessing a deepening rift in the grand old party between establishment and conservative wings over what to do about a lawless president.

Obama will be impeached. Even if he has to do it himself. He has to be impeached, according to his own mantra.

Obama is out to prove that America is a racist, evil, nation. One way to prove that is to impeach himself. Then he can say, 'They impeached the first Black man, 'cause they hate Black people'. This would justify his whole 'White people are evil colonialist' mindset.

From his point of view, he can't lose. He breaks law after law and does whatever the hell he wants to do, no matter what. And if anyone calls him on it, he simply says, 'See, I told you dey is racists.' He, himself, is the one person who cannot stand the idea of America having a Black President. It goes directly against every thing he has ever been taught. So he wants to wreck it.

That is the game he is playing. But now, at this point, he is begging to be impeached. He would wear it like a thorny crown.

What is clear is that Obama is bent on bringing confusion and destruction to the colonialist Western World, in whatever way he can. The scariest part is, he still has two years to wreak as much havoc as possible to get his percieved 'revenge'. And he is, so far, doing a good job at it.

It is amazing that anyone in America would still support this guy.

"It is amazing that anyone in America would still support this guy."

It merely points out how low and corrupt we have fallen as a people.

Morris makes an interesting point but he can't seriously believe that Obo would ever resign.

Of course he will never resign. That would not achieve the goal.

Obama wants to go out of office as the eternal victim of America. Resigning would not grant him that. He would love to be impeached, because that would relieve him of all responsibility, and would give him his so wanted 'victim' status.

Instead of being the idiot and fool that history will record, he wants to be another Black victim of evil America (who are the same people who put him in office by the way, not that logic means anything anymore).

That is what he wants his incredibly incompetent and failed legacy to be. It is the only way he can save himself at this point.

I'm surprised he hasn't started dragging a cross down PA AVE
Why?  Well, because I'm a bastard, that's why.

That made me laugh.

But give him some time. He still may do it. I would not put it past him before[if] he leaves.

aligncare asks above:
[[ Does one president–one man–have the ability to bring down a nation as large and diverse, and as well-founded, as the United States, as some have suggested? ]]

He does, if no one is willing to stop him.

And at this point, the Republicans in Congress are NOT willing to stop him. That would require using a Constitutional provision (hint: it begins with an "i") that they quiver at the mere mention of.

The entire rationale behind the border breakdown is to change the ethnic demographics of the country in such a way that it will "kill" the Republican party (at least as an effective majority) in some states, particularly Texas.

The democrats know that they are losing support in [what once was] their core demographic of Euro-Americans. Their solution is simply to replace the Euros with non-Euros who are naturally predisposed to socialism and control. They're doing a bang-up job of it, judging by recent news reports...

He'll resign when ValJar tells him to resign, and that will be never. Why would she want to surrender her power?
