Chicago Imam Urges Muslims to Go to Gaza for Holy War

Apparently Chiraq isn’t good enough for his Jihad. He wants his congregants shot up trying to murder Israelis.

In successive Friday sermons, a Chicago imam has urged followers to support the Palestinian jihad by joining the fight or by donation “weapons and money.”

In excerpts compiled by the Middle East Media Research Project (MEMRI) taken from sermons posted on YouTube, the Chicago Islamic Center’s Mohamed Elimam speaks to “those of you who want to wage Jihad for the sake of Allah, Palestine is calling you and Gaza is crying out for your help” during his July 18 sermon. “However, if you are collaborators with those who give you weapons and money, then keep indulging yourselves with this money of yours.”

This guy sounds like a patriot. I hope Obama invited Elimam to Iftar Dinner so he could praise him for building America’s core democracy.

Mohamed Elimam: Oh, those of you who want to wage Jihad for the sake of Allah, Palestine is calling you and Gaza is crying out for your help. If you are true believers, real mujahideen, hasten to Palestine. However, if you are collaborators with those who give you weapons and money, then keep indulging yourselves with this money of yours.

Where are the Muslim rulers? Where are all those deadbeat regimes? Where are all those stray [Jihadi] groups? Return to the battle of Jihad in Palestine. Jerusalem is calling you. The children of Gaza are crying for your help. I say to all the honorable mujahideen, to any believer who has ever waged Jihad for the sake of Allah, and to every child who was killed for the sake of Islam… Let the whole world know that the Zionist enemy is not fighting a well-armed army. Rather, it is fighting a defenseless people. It is killing children, and destroying homes. This is how they behaved towards the prophets of Allah as well.

The prophets. Because this is about the Jews, not the “Zionists. It’s good old-fashioned Muslim anti-Semitism.

Our buddy Mo appears to be a graduate of Al-Azhar, Egypt’s finest Islamic theological nuthouse, and has been the Chicago Islamic Center’s Imam since 1995. His likes include Jihad, beheading infidels and more Jihad. His turn-offs are ham sandwiches, women who don’t cover their faces and the Jews.
