Jesse Ventura May or May Not Have Lost Barfight, But What He Won from a Sniper’s Widow is Staggering
By Kevin Boyd  3 hours ago

Former Minnesota Governor and Navy SEAL veteran Jesse Ventura won his defamation lawsuit against the widow of former Navy SEAL Chris Kyle. He was awarded a whopping $1.8 million in damages by a Federal jury.

Ventura alleges that details of a bar fight that Kyle wrote about in his book American Sniper, in which Kyle says he punched Ventura after he made the comment that the Navy SEALs “deserved to lose a few,” were fabricated. From Politico:

Quote
A jury awarded former Minnesota Gov. Jesse Ventura $1.8 million Tuesday in his lawsuit against the estate of “American Sniper” author Chris Kyle.
.
On the sixth day of deliberations, the federal jury decided that the 2012 best-selling book defamed Ventura in its description of a bar fight in California in 2006. Kyle wrote that he decked a man whom he later identified as Ventura after the man allegedly said the Navy SEALs “deserve to lose a few.”
.
Ventura testified that Kyle fabricated the passage about punching him. Kyle said in testimony videotaped before his death last year that his story was accurate.

In February 2013, Chris Kyle, who was the most deadly sniper in American history, was tragically killed at a shooting range while helping veterans with PTSD.

After Kyle’s tragic death, 9/11 Truther Jesse Ventura decided to continue the lawsuit against Kyle but then included Kyle’s widow. If Ventura wasn’t a scumbag, the decent thing to do would’ve been to end the lawsuit and let Kyle rest in peace and let his widow get on her with her life. Instead, Ventura decided to profit off of a widow.

In addition to being a 9/11 Truther, Jesse Ventura tends to rant a lot about “Nazi America” and even peddles the “FEMA camps” conspiracy theory. When Jesse Ventura’s TruTV show “Conspiracy Theory” was cancelled, he suspected a government conspiracy was behind it.

Ventura’s own conspiracy rantings and continuing a lawsuit against a war hero’s widow after he dies have harmed his reputation more than anything Chris Kyle could’ve ever said about Ventura. “Defaming” someone who has damaged his own reputation doesn’t seem to be worth a lottery settlement, but obviously the jury saw it otherwise. Hope he enjoys his award.
