Liberal Journalist Can't Explain Increase in Arctic Ice Because It Conflicts With Global Warming

Funny thing is that even though we may not be able to alter the state of facts, and evidence, we can alter the perception of those to whom we are presenting the facts, and evidence. That’s the scary thing about the human race, that we are so easily manipulated by the people in whom we place our trust. So long as we have faith in our authority figures, they can tell us nearly anything, and we will just nod our heads, and smile.
Americans have a misplaced trust in journalists. We believe that because they are working for large organizations, they must be trustworthy. Someone slaps on a press pass, and we believe them to be angels. As we (conservatives) all know, the media is a bastion of liberal philosophy, and that leads liberal journalists (see: all) to bend the truth to suit their belief system. It’s human nature, and the fact that we hold journalists to a nonexistent standard of integrity is absurd. We should be wiser than that.
What’s more tragic than the left’s hold on the American people through the media is the media’s hold on itself. The liberal journalist community is so deeply stuck in their own propaganda that even when evidence points north, they just can fathom that it’s not pointing south. The leftist media has actually become a victim of their own lies. They have fallen so far down the rabbit hole that they actually believe they’re in Wonderland. According to the very liberal Los Angeles Times:
“The paradox of expanding Antarctic sea ice has troubled scientists for many years. Although climate models predict southern sea ice should shrink, it has stubbornly refused to do so. In fact, between the last two reports of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), which came out just seven years apart, the rate of Antarctic sea ice growth more than doubled.”
This befuddled journalist just cannot seem to make the connection that advancing arctic ice—whichh stands in contradiction to all of the left’s climate models—could just possibly mean that the whole global warming thing might not be, ya know, real. He just cannot fathom that A plus B might equal C. This is because he has been brainwashed by the liberal elite, his deities, into believing anything, and everything they say to be true.
According to Ted Scambos, a sea ice expert cited in the LA Times article:
“I don’t think this [data inconsistencies] lets us off the hook of explaining how Antarctica’s sea ice is expanding in a warming world.”
So, rather than allow the increase in arctic ice to lead him to question the warming hypothesis, Scambos does the opposite of what a scientist should do: he tries to make the increase in ice fit his previously established model. What a scientist! I smell a Nobel Prize in his future.
This is the prevailing attitude of the left. Establish a theory that makes us look good, and gets us votes, then if new evidence comes to light that might make that theory crumble, move some stuff around to make it fit. As long as the theory helps the liberal cause, it must remain intact, at all costs.
The journalists, who are now almost pawns in the hands of themselves, take whatever the left says as gospel truth. Given that, if any inconsistencies arise in the liberal doctrine, it must be easily explained, because their leftist masters would never lie to them. This dogmatic attitude is passed on to the American public in the form of insane articles like the one from the LA Times. Then the American people vote for the Democrats and the cycle continues. It’s sick, and depressing.
If it weren’t so sad, I’d be laughing out loud.
