Moses the Unaccompanied Minor and the Ten Plagues

On behalf of illegal unaccompanied minors flooding our southern border, liberals are currently citing Jesus in Matthew 19:14 saying, “Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven.”
Using that particular verse is problematic because America is not the “kingdom of heaven,” and regardless of the age or economic status of the children, Jesus would never approve of the type of lawless chaos the left is currently promoting.
Nonetheless, that has not curtailed the sermonizing of Biblical scholar/House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi.
Recently, by quoting the Conference Bishops, a group of Catholic theologians she totally disregards when it comes to abortion, Mrs. Pelosi attempted to portray illegal unaccompanied minors, some of whom are rapists, murderers, robbers, and MS-13 gang members and all of whom are currently disregarding our nation’s sovereignty, as “baby Jesus.”
Assigning the likes of 14-year-old Mexican assassin El Ponchis types “baby Jesus” status is probably considered very apt in liberal circles. However, the comparison is a bit of a stretch, even for Mrs. Pelosi, who has personally endured quite a bit of ‘stretching’ herself.
With a nod to the Jewish tradition, after covering the New Testament Mrs. Pelosi backtracked to Exodus and assigned the deluge of illegal children rushing our southern border the refugee status she feels was granted Moses, who, like Jesus, escaped death by fleeing to Egypt.
Exodus 2:10 says, “When the child grew older… Pharaoh's daughter … named him Moses, saying, ‘I drew him out of the water.’”
Leader Pelosi probably views Moses in the Nile as similar to Central Americans being ferried across the Rio Grande by human smugglers. That’s why, to support the refugee argument, the minority leader said, “What would we do if Moses had not been accepted by the pharaoh's family? We wouldn’t have the Ten Commandments, for starters. ”
So, according to Nancy, if the Egyptians hadn’t fished baby Moses out of the Nile the world would never have had the Ten Commandments, one of which is “Thou Shalt Not Kill,” a decree neither Mrs. Pelosi nor any of her cohorts consider when butchering unborn babies.
As for the other nine commandments, those on the left typically select which ones to obey the same way they pick and choose from a Chinese menu, which makes one wonder: why is Nancy Pelosi pretending to breathe a sigh of relief that Moses provided 10 directives that she views as optional?
Referencing Jesus, and now Moses, is yet another glaring example of hypocrisy where, in an effort to lend credibility to policies Americans overwhelmingly reject, liberals cynically cherry-pick Scripture they don’t believe in the first place, simply for political expediency.
Based on what she said, it’s apparent that Nancy Pelosi completely lacks spiritual insight and confuses fleshly effort with divine intervention. Pelosi’s warped analysis of Scripture implies that without Moses, who was mere flesh and blood, an all-powerful God would have been unable to deliver His commandments, proving once again that liberals think people have power over the plans of the Almighty.
Moreover, Miss Nancy’s biblical analogy presents somewhat of a predicament for the illegal immigration argument. Doesn’t the Scripture-spouting leader know that it was Moses, with the help of Yahweh, who ushered in the 10 plagues that brought Egypt to its knees?
According to the Tanakh (aka Old Testament), Pharaoh’s daughter fished baby Moses out of the Nile. Then after he grew into a man, he fled Egypt and settled in Midian. One day, while out tending sheep, Yahweh commissioned Moses to return to Egypt to lead the Hebrew people out of captivity and into the Promised Land.
At the time, Hebrew slaves were ‘doing jobs Egyptians didn’t want to do,’ so in an effort to preserve the economy, so to speak, Pharaoh, with whom Nancy apparently identifies, defiantly refused to let God’s people go.
That wasn’t a wise decision on Pharaoh’s part because it forced Moses, in conjunction with the One who later delivered the Ten Commandments Ms. Pelosi claims she’s so grateful to have, to do a little arm-twisting. Maybe Ms. Pelosi should err on the side of caution and meditate upon the ramifications of misrepresenting the Word of God or recruiting Jesus and Moses to further a lawless political agenda, because 10 plagues later and under much duress, Pharaoh succumbed.
The curses the Egyptians endured included a list that sounds strikingly similar to some of the pestilences the diseased baby Moses wannabes are currently inflicting on the American people, like bloody water, lice, flies, boils, fire, and as payback, death to the firstborn.
Contrary to Nancy Pelosi’s creative biblical exegesis, Moses was not a refugee, nor was he saved by a band of compassionate liberals. Moses was an ordained servant of the Most High God whose steps were ordered for eternal purposes by the Lord. And while Moses did eventually descend from Mount Sinai with the Ten Commandments in hand, before he did, as a result of their rebelliousness, the Egyptian people endured devastating consequences.
So, “for starters,” if Nancy Pelosi insists on comparing America with Egypt and illegal immigrants with the likes of Jesus and Moses, maybe she should reflect on what an unaccompanied minor “accepted by Pharaoh’s family” ultimately wrought on those that provided him sanctuary.
