 Syria - al-Thawra - Original Article (Arabic)

As the sun rises every morning, information about Western intelligence agencies recruiting terrorists to send to Syria seeps in. Western officials then come out and say that they are fighting terrorism.

The various media outlets in countries like America, France and Britain pursue them, pretending to cry about national security, warning that the extremists may return to the West, and ignoring the part that Western governments played in establishing, funding and supporting by all available means these extreme terrorist organizations.

One such leak is the new video recently disclosed by The Independent, a British newspaper. The video, which is entitled “No Life Without Jihad” and is no longer than 13 minutes in length, shows a group of five militants who introduce themselves as British and Australian and try to persuade more foreign youth to head to Syria and Iraq to join terrorists organizations like the so-called Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant and al-Nusra, which continue to commit crimes and acts of terror with support from the West and from within the Middle East. The group, which belongs to ISIL, is comprised of three Brits and two Australians. They speak about their motives for heading to Syria and Iraq to fight and persuading British and Western youth to give up their jobs and possessions and join them to help establish a so-called caliphate.

It is clear in the video that a British terrorist naming himself Abu Barra al-Hindi decided to persuade foreign youth to join the terrorist organization he represents by trying to exploit the state of desperation that they suffer in their countries, especially Britain, which has for years been experiencing an economic recession. He claims that the ideal way to escape their painful reality is to join the jihadis. This is a clear indication of the dangerous psychological methods these terrorists are using to recruit.

The paper explained that the aforementioned terrorist organization aims to get letters of support for the establishment of a caliphate — an entity it declared after attacking Mosul and a number of other Iraqi cities — from a billion people. This is an indication of the increasingly organized methods and campaigns it uses to recruit. Moreover, it is clear evidence that the terrorism the United States and its allies in the West and the Middle East have sponsored and funded has become more organized and dangerous and threatens to rebound onto those who originally created it and exported it to Syria.

The international community is increasingly worried about more Western and foreign citizens joining the militant, terrorist groups in Syria — groups to which the West has given political, military and media support — and then returning home to commit crime and terrorism within their own countries. Despite that, Western countries, headed by the United States, are still supporting these extremist movements and ignoring the international threat that terrorism poses. Reports and official statistics reveal that terrorists are flowing in from countless countries, the most important being Britain, Australia, Belgium, Spain and the United States. Officials in the United States have announced that at least 100 Americans are fighting alongside militant terrorist groups in Syria.
