James Carville: Obama ‘Doesn’t Really Care’ What The American People Think

Posted By Brendan Bordelon On 9:24 PM 07/24/2014 In | No Comments

Former Democratic strategist James Carville sounded a little exasperated Thursday when he admitted President Obama “doesn’t really care” what the American people think about his presidency.

The Fox News contributor sat down with Fox News’ Bill O’Reilly and “The Five” host Andrea Tantaros to discuss President Obama’s consistently depressed poll numbers.

Carville noted that the president’s low numbers have been “stable” at about “43.6 [percent approval] — which is not very good, but not collapsing.”

O’Reilly — seeking to cut through the “technical garbage” — asked Carville whether the public’s perception of a failed presidency was accurate or “fair.”

Carville tried to dodge a value judgment. “You know what, whether it’s fair or not, that’s public opinion,” Carville said. “And I further think that — honestly — I don’t really think he much cares what we think. And I don’t think he much cares about his poll numbers.”

“I think he thinks he’s done and is doing a good job and history will record him, that’s he’s going about his business,” he concluded. “He doesn’t really care.”

Historians will be kind to this POTUS.  But not because he did his job well.

Not only does Obama not care what the people think, he doesn't care what the Constitution says - a particularly bad combination for the people of America.

I don't really think so.  In the long run - at least 2 or 3 decades - I think that he'll go down in history as a failure.

Not only does Obama not care what the people think, he doesn't care what the Constitution says - a particularly bad combination for the people of America.

He also could not care less how is policies work out, or don't work out. He simply does not care. In fact, I think he privately laughs at what he is doing to America right in front of their nose. He thinks it is all hilarious.

He and Michelle share the motto:
Not my county...
Not my people...
Not my money...

Not my problem.

His behavior and policies could not be more clear on these points.

His focus is on restraining and constraining the American people and the American nation as a whole. That is why he doesn't care about ISIS, Iran, or Putin, because they are not his enemy. We are. And that is where his focus is.

You cannot "COEXIST" with people who want to kill you.
If they kill their own with no conscience, there is nothing to stop them from killing you.
Rational fear and anger at vicious murderous Islamic terrorists is the same as irrational antisemitism, according to the Leftists.

He'll be like Kennedy-never judged for his competence, but rather for his assassination and charisma.

Obama will be judged okay, for his race. Policies and competence won't factor in it much.

If I was a leftist, I'd admire Obama's resolve to raise wages, etc.

As an economic conservative, I'm frustrated that contemporary conservatism has proved almost inept at even discussing topics in the public forum of ideas.

Nothing like Milton Friedman's 1976 book "Free to Choose" which was a multi-episode program on PBS.

Conservatives should be teaching this to younger people, instead of worrying about homosexuals, etc.

Carville's right, for the wrong reason. Malignant narcissists/ sociopaths DON'T care what other people think. No empathy, and it's ALWAYS about them.

Does it occur he is merely a rational, completely committed socialist? That his agenda is to push as far as our system of government permits during his terms?

But the pendulum has already shifted, and with some good GOP candidates for Senate, he will have limited success in the long run.

That you might, but you might be angry that Obama is all talk.

"My administration is committed to creating an unprecedented level of openness in government. We will work together to ensure the public trust and establish a system of transparency, public participation, and collaboration."  Some leftists still fear a surveillance state.  They don't admire re-authorization of the patriot act, Bush taxcuts, Gitmo, press censorship, political hit lists, drone attacks, sequester, obamacare.com and failing spectacularly abroad.

Well the great news is President Obama has lost all support from the right and middle, and soon he will be shedding the support of the left.

Politics is cyclical, and it is time for the rats to start eating their own.  The best way to do that is a good old fashioned cat fight between Hitlery and the squaw.  I want to see Real Housewives of the White House.  It is time for the fringe left wing of the rat party to be heard just as loudly as Tea Party, and the Deaniacs before them, and the Buchananites before them, and the Birchers before them.

There are left factions who are asking themselves why a President with a Senate majority can't get anything done.

and there are a few who believed Obama when he promised hope.  All they have left is a smelly fart in his wake.

and from that flatulence will bloom an odious movement.  Gut churning and bloody.
