Burglary Thwarted by 15 Year Old with Shotgun

A number of states and cities have laws that require guns be stored with trigger locks and then locked up in a gun safe, virtually rendering the guns useless for self-protection. Fortunately, Florida is not one of those states.
A Sarasota 15 year old was home alone earlier this week. At 12:30 in the afternoon, a man tried to break in the backdoor of the teenager’s home. The teenager heard banging at the backdoor and looked out to see a strange man at the door wearing a black mask. Grabbing a loaded shotgun that was not locked up in a gun safe, the teen fired a warning shot in the general direction of the intruder who then fled.
Police used tracking dogs, but were unable to locate the burglar. That means they have no idea if the man was armed with any kind of weapon such as a gun or knife.
It’s quite possible that the teen’s quick actions saved his life and a number of the family’s possessions.
Had this happened in other states that require gun safes and trigger locks, the teen may not have had time to get the safe open and the lock off the trigger in time to thwart the intruder. This is the very situation that liberal politicians are placing homeowners in with absurd gun safety laws.
I was raised in a home with loaded guns that were within easy reach and I know of many others who were raised the same way. We were all taught how to use the guns and respect them and never play with them. We were also taught to respect and obey our parents, something that is sorely lacking in today’s America.
But liberal politicians like Barack Obama, Joe Biden and Michael Bloomberg would prefer to confiscate everyone’s guns and leave them completely defenseless from intruders and burglars. They would rather see this 15 year old be confronted by a vicious intruder and face being harmed or killed. They would prefer to see your wife or daughter raped instead of them being able to fend off the rapist with a firearm.
If they care so littler for the safety and well-being of you and your loved ones, how much do they really care about any American? They don’t deserve to hold any political office if they care so little for the people. Take time to find out who is running for office this year in your area and ask them how they feel about gun control. Skew your question by asking if they support Obama’s gun control efforts to help reduce violent crime. If they say yes, then make sure you don’t vote for them and that none of your friends and family vote them either.
