Nigel Sykes Wanted pizza dough but got just desserts instead…
The first time Nigel Sykes tried to get money from the Seasons Pizza in Newport, he did it with a gun, forcing his way into the business through the back door.
This time, Sykes is trying to get money from the pizzeria by suing the employees who tackled him and wrestled his gun away during the robbery.
Sykes alleges assault in a federal civil complaint claiming the rough treatment was “unnecessary” and that as a result of the injuries he suffered during his attempted hold-up, he is due over $260,000.
Read much more:
In this lawsuit our homeboy Nigel (aged 23) who’s currently serving a 15 year sentence for armed robbery, admits that he broke in the back door of the pizzeria and was brandishing a loaded gun.
But then some employee grabbed him from behind, they took his gun (which went off during the struggle) and then all the employees joined in punching, kicking and pouring hot soup on his body until he lost consciousness.
To add insult to injury, he said he came to as he was being handcuffed and the cops tasered him. He also alleges that the cops ignored his pleas to take him to the hospital for 8 hours. How rude!
Now you might think this jailhouse lawsuit is just plain silly but Perfesser Sykes’ claimed in a previous lawsuit that he was setup. You see, he says some unknown guy robbed him at gunpoint, then gave him the gun and ordered him to go rob the pizzeria.
So you see, he wasn’t responsible for his actions (I was only following orders).
In that lawsuit (which was dismissed without comment but a whole lot of chuckles) he said the employees beat him with pots and pans and that they used excessive and un-necessary force to subdue him.
Actually I think the reason nobody is taking his lawsuits seriously is because he’s not asking for enough money. I think he should demand 50 gazillion dollars and 49 cents.
