"Of all the dispositions and habits which lead to political prosperity, religion and morality are indispensable supports. In vain would that man claim tribute to patriotism who should labor to subvert these great pillars of human happiness -- these firmest props of the duties of men and citizens. . . . reason and experience both forbid us to expect that national morality can prevail in exclusion of religious principles."
George Washington

"Only a virtuous people are capable of freedom. As nations become more corrupt and vicious, they have more need of masters."
Benjamin Franklin

I'm trying to work out how ducks are therapy animals.

Dogs, sure. Too well documented to even bother arguing about.
Pigs? Well - they are damned smart and very affectionate.
Cats? Low maintenance, affectionate in their own way, and pretty funny to watch.

But ducks?

14 ducks!!

This is utter BS.  Opportunism by someone whose goal is to be a Public pain in the ass, and using his former military status to justify it.  No different than the "Homeless Vet, Anything Helps, God Bless You" derelict on the off ramp.

Agreed.

This is someone gaming the system, and I've grown weary of all these little bs stories that someone tries to make it sound like it's a cultural battle. Dude, if your ducks are so darn important to you, move.

I also don't give to those sign holding jackwagons. I used to give to the local homeless shelter before Obama was elected the 2nd time. Now, 'eff them, go get some Obama bucks. I give to the USO and DAV now.

Taking care of an animal can be therapeutic, and that isn't just limited to cats, dogs, and pigs.
