Republican Governor Says, “I Can Sense Right Now A Rebellion Brewing”

Governor Bobby Jindal (R-LA) is on many short-lists as potentially being the next GOP candidate for President.

For over two decades, Jindal has been a workhorse for the Republican Party in Louisiana and around the country. He has served both his state and his nation in important government roles, working in healthcare and education to improve the lives of his fellow citizens. (Plus he’s friends with the Robertson’s from Duck Dynasty!)

We may well soon get a chance to support Jindal on the national stage.

This past weekend he was busy pressing the flesh and encouraging conservatives at the annual Faith and Freedom Coalition when he denounced the Obama Administration (and the federal governments) attacks on religious liberty and on parents’ rights in education. He went so far as to say there was a “silent war” being waged against the American people on these issues.

"I can sense right now a rebellion brewing amongst these United States, where people are ready for a hostile takeover of Washington, D.C., to preserve the American Dream for our children and grandchildren."

"I am tired of the left. They say they're for tolerance, they say they respect diversity. The reality is this: They respect everybody unless you happen to disagree with them. The left is trying to silence us and I'm tired of it, I won't take it anymore."

Bobby JindalWho among us doesn’t agree with Governor Jindal? As conservatives we are constantly called hatemongers, racists, misogynists, xenophobes, fascists and worse! Never mind that we are people of principle and morality and these names we are called stand opposed to many of our most basic beliefs. Never mind that we love people like Bobby Jindal, Dr. Ben Carson, Herman Cain, Mia Love, Marco Rubio, Ted Cruz, Sarah Palin, Michelle Bachmann, Nikki Haley, JC Watts, Neel Kashkari… and so many others. These are our leaders - men and women, white and non-white…

Their sex, race, religion -- these aren’t what we focus on. We focus on their principles.

The Left has forgotten their principles. The Left has left their beliefs behind. The Left is a shell of its former self. They are a shell of a philosophy. They are empty.

"The federal government has no role, no right and no place dictating standards in our local schools across these 50 states of the United States of America.”

"Are we witnessing right now the most radically, extremely liberal, ideological president of our entire lifetime right here in the United States of America, or are we witnessing the most incompetent president of the United States of America in the history of our lifetimes? You know, it is a difficult question. I've thought long and hard about it. Here's the only answer I've come up with, and I'm going to quote Secretary Clinton: `What difference does it make?"'

On education, Governor Jindal may be our foremost thinker today. He has singlehandedly fought back against the Common Core in Louisiana and changed the game in education there. New Orleans is the first city in American to eliminate traditional public schools and move to 100% charter schools… and the results have been beautiful. New Orleans is surging ahead on every metric, even as other cities fall further and further behind. Bobby Jindal has proven to Louisiana’s African-American community that not only can Republicans be trusted, they can come through when it means the most.

Bobby Jindal could be the game changer we Republicans are all hoping for.

"I can sense right now a rebellion brewing amongst these United States, where people are ready for a hostile takeover of Washington, D.C., to preserve the American Dream for our children and grandchildren."
