British Lord: Fight Islamophobia by Converting Your Children to Islam

Oh Lord, and I don’t mean Scott in the bad wig up there.


Christians should be encouraged to marry Muslims as a way of tackling Islamophobia, a senior peer claimed today.

“I do just wonder that if an improvement is needed between the faith groups, one way of promoting that might be to encourage interfaith marriages,” Lord Scott said.

I’m afraid to ask about his plan for tackling Homophobia.


Lord Scott, a former Supreme Court Judge, cited his own family – in which two of his four children married Muslims – as an example of how interfaith families can thrive.

He said:  “Of my two sons one has become a Muslim and of my two daughters one of those has become a Muslim, and I have 12 lovely grandchildren, seven of whom are little Muslims.

These aren’t interfaith families. They’re Muslim families. Muslims don’t do interfaith.

What Lord Scott is really proposing is that the UK fight Islamophobia by converting their children to Islam. It’s a reasonable conclusion. If there are no more non-Muslims in the UK left, there won’t be any to be afraid of Muslims.

Unfortunately Syria, Iran and Iraq prove that Muslims still need to be afraid of Islam.

Whatever else is right or wrong with the article, it's certainly on-point when it states that these marriages aren't interfaith:  the non-muslim spouse converted, making it a muslim-only marriage.
