There are some very predictable things about President Barack Obama, when the going gets tough, he goes on vacation. He wouldn’t even visit the border area of Texas that is being invaded by illegal aliens. Article 4, Section 4 of the United States Constitution mandates that the Federal Government “shall protect each state from invasion”. Obama pays as much respect to this part of the U.S. Constitution as he does to any other part. Most Americans can’t afford to take any vacation in this stinky Obama Economy. How nice of Barack Obama to flout that in our faces.

President Obama and his family are heading to Martha’s Vineyard on Saturday for a week of rest and relaxation, but not before facing the ritual partisan grumblings that presidential vacations are extravagant and waste taxpayer money.

While Congress is in the midst of its own five-week break, Republican officials haven’t missed the opportunity to question the president for heading to the upscale Massachusetts community at a time when automatic cuts to the federal budget have left the Defense Department and other agencies furloughing employees.

Rep. Chris Stewart, R-Utah, said no one begrudges the president taking some time with his family. But Stewart, who earlier this year introduced a resolution calling on Obama to skip vacations until the White House restored public tours — mothballed as a result of across-the-board federal cuts known as sequestration— suggested the president’s trip to the upscale community in Chilmark, Mass., appears “tone deaf.”

“Most of the people in my district could never afford to visit Martha’s Vineyard, and those who could would feel uncomfortable vacationing in a place that has a reputation for being for the elite,” said Stewart in a telephone interview from his district.

The commander-in-chief will be beach bummin’ it in Martha’s Vineyard, Mass, this summer, and the home he is reportedly renting out looks amazing.

President Obama and the first lady are planning a two-week vacation in at a seven-bedroom, nine-bathroom home in Chilmark, the Martha’s Vineyard Times reports.

The first family will travel to the island from Aug. 9 to Aug. 24, making the 15-day getaway the longest summer vacation of Obama’s presidency. While the location of their vacation home was supposed to be under wraps, neighbors confirmed to the local newspaper that the Obamas will be staying at a luxurious home owned by Joanne Hubschman, whose late husband, Henry, was a former executive at General Electric.

The 17-room house, worth an estimated $12 million, sits on a 10-acre lot and features an infinity pool, a dual tennis-basketball court, an indoor gym and views of the Vineyard Sound, according to the Martha’s Vineyard Times.

When contacted by ABC News, a representative for real estate agent Paul Wallace, who the Martha’s Vineyard Times reported has handled previous Vineyard arrangements for the first family, would not confirm that the president was staying at the house, but did indicate a “special visitor” would be coming to the area.

Hubschman, the homeowner, has donated to Democrats in the past, including the presidential campaigns of former New Jersey Sen. Bill Bradley and former Vice President Al Gore, according to the Center for Responsive Politics.

The president and first lady have vacationed on the island every summer but one since he took office. (They opted out in 2012, when the campaign kept the couple busy).

In the past, the first family has stayed at the luxurious Blue Heron Farm, which reportedly ran $50,000 per week.  ...

yes and no.  nobody with that sort of responsibility should be taking even a tenth the vacations this sh*t-head takes; I thought about the "at least he's not working" point, but that just means he's left some other incompetent jerk (e.g., Jarrett) there to muck things up in his absence.
