US Is Allowing Violent Gang Members To Enter The Country Because They’re ‘Just Minors’

Among the 50,000 undocumented minors who have entered the United States in the last 10 months are an alarming number of violent gang members, and some are even admitting it, Townhall reports.

Border patrol agents are expected to treat all minors the same, despite the fact that some have admitted to heinous acts of violence, including committing murder and engaging in gang brutality in their home countries. Some have admitted to being part of the violent street gang, MS-13. (RELATED: Obama’s Deputy Gives Wishy-Washy, Noncommittal Answers About Illegal Children And Border Security)

“We have six minors in Nogales who have admitted to killing and doing grievous bodily injuries. One admitted to killing as young as eight years old,” an anonymous agent told Townhall. “They are being held for placement in the U.S.”

The National Review also reported that gang members are making shameless attempts to cross the U.S. border, and many are getting away with it because they’re under 18. Border Patrol agents are not allowed to turn them away, even if they have gang tattoos or other obvious gang-related paraphernalia.

Chris Cabrera, vice president of the National Border Patrol Council Local 3307 in the Rio Grande Valley, said the problem is only going to continue, because no realistic enforcement measures have been issued. (RELATED: Obama Wimps Out; Won’t Try To Close Border Loopholes)

“I’ve heard people come in and say, ‘You’re going to let me go, just like you let my mother go, just like you let my sister go. You’re going to let me go as well, and the government’s going to take care of us,’” Cabrera said. “Until we start mandatory detentions, mandatory removals, I don’t think anything is going to change. As a matter of fact, I think it’s going to get worse.”
