Lib Compares Illegals To Jesus

It’s amazing how often politicians can change the argument. One minute, you’re arguing about A, and the next, the argument has shifted to B. It’s a tactic used most often by those who are losing the fight. More specifically, changing the conversation is a tactic used by those who don’t have the ability to defend their ideology in a logical way. When a philosophy doesn’t operate within logical bounds, it cannot be defended, and must therefore be hidden behind something else.

The left just loves the illegal immigrant situation. They love the idea that we have open borders through which anyone can stroll right in. With the recent surge of illegal kids crossing into the United States because of Obama’s DACA, the democrats have had a bit of a difficult time advocating amnesty. Because of coverage from websites like Breitbart, and networks like FOX, the democrats have seen the battle for amnesty go from good to hazardous. So, to change the conversation, they are now comparing illegals to Jesus. Yes, you read that correctly: illegal immigrants are similar to Jesus because they both are refugees.

Director of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ Office of Refugee Resettlement Eskinder Negash said (with reference to illegal immigrants): “Jesus was a refugee, and that’s a very good reminder to all of us.”

I’m sorry, but how are these law breakers refugees? According to Google, a refugee is “a person who has been forced to leave their country in order to escape war, persecution, or natural disaster.” Those who enter the United States illegally from the southern border are not forced; they come here because they want to come here. They want to come here for the benefits American society has to offer. They come here, and because most of them are low-skill workers, they rely on government handouts to survive. They drain the economy. There is no natural disaster to speak of, there is no war or extreme persecution. There is just a desire to come to a place that is better. Illegal immigrants are not refugees.

Illegal immigrants cannot be likened to Christ just because they share one attribute with him–which in reality, they don’t even share at all. But this is the left changing the conversation. They believe that by attaching faith, and religion to this issue, people will begin to think of this situation in a different way. They hope that people will be more compassionate when they hear the name “Jesus” attached to law-breakers. They also hope that people will be afraid to fight back for the truth if they believe that a fight will be perceived as an attack on their own Christian values.

The left will do whatever it takes to win the amnesty argument. The prize is a forever changed voter demographic, and the stakes have never been higher.
