Americans Missing 5 Mil Jobs, Obama Wants Amnesty for 5 Mil Illegal Aliens

Obama may not have beaten Al Qaeda, but he is determined to beat the economy, even if he has to blatantly violate the Constitution to do it.

First the bad news.


According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), in 2007 on the eve of the recession, there were 146.6 million Americans working. Today, there are 145.8 million Americans in jobs. So nearly 7 years later, we are still 800,000 jobs below the previous peak. That’s some jobs recovery.

But the missing jobs in this economic recovery are much higher than that. A new analysis of the labor force numbers by Heritage Foundation economists places the real jobs deficit in America closer to 5.5 million, even after accounting for changes in population and demographics.

The US is taking in a million legal immigrants a year. Those immigrants are also taking most of the jobs which are on the low end of the scale. McDonald’s type jobs.

When Dems and Repubs keep talking about the economic productivity of immigrants, what they really mean is that those immigrants are beating out Americans for scut work in a terrible economy.

But Obama is determined to make things even worse by unilaterally and illegally legalizing 5-6 million illegal aliens, resulting in a new flood of illegal aliens. The current border crisis was created by Obama’s illegal unilateral DREAM amnesty. The next amnesty wave will be worse.


Obama made it clear he would press his executive powers to the limit. He gave quiet credence to recommendations from La Raza and other immigration groups that between 5 million to 6 million adult illegal aliens could be spared deportation under a similar form of deferred adjudication he ordered for the so-called Dreamers in June 2012.

That executive action essentially lifted the threat of prosecution and deportation for about 670,000 illegal aliens—those older than 15 and younger than 31 who had been brought to America before their 16th birthday.

Obama has now ordered the Homeland Security and Justice departments to find executive authorities that could enlarge that non-prosecutorial umbrella by a factor of 10.

The executive authority being “Obama feels like it”. Also Hillary/Warren will really need those votes in 2020 when the United States economy has been in the toilet for thirteen years and fewer Americans have jobs than ever.

Those jobs are hard work, and they don't pay six figures, but the wages aren't subsistence pay, either.  They also require valid CDLs (commercial drivers licenses), which are harder to get than just an ordinary drivers license (therefore harder for illegals to get).

Or are those jobs just beneath too many Americans (as the article points out, a lot of people who quit truck driving, even if it leaves them unemployed, do so for life-style reasons, not economic reasons).

I see a lot of 20-somethings riding in their girlfriends cars. The aspiration level of a lot of them is riding shotgun, in the car her daddy probably bought for her, and maintained by the job she holds.

Blame it halfway on their parents, for not instilling common sense and ambition, and half on Obama for instilling lifetime dependence as a way of life.
