Each day the Obama White House releases its official presidential schedule. What then happens to the real schedule? The one the White House wants no-one else to see?
Those schedules are destroyed.
Check out this recent description on the subject by Yahoo News:
It’s a document so closely held that Obama aides, like their counterparts under George W. Bush, are expected to dispose of it at day’s end in “burn bags” typically reserved for documents so sensitive they cannot be consigned to mere shredding.
Here’s the thing though, reader. Despite the president’s private schedule offering more detail than the “official” schedule distributed to the media, in the Obama White House, it still falls well short of offering an outline of what is really going on inside the Obama White House. Barack Obama, more than most, has large blocks of time devoted to…nothing. Hours go entirely unaccounted for. It is an odd paradox with this White House. Where normally the official schedule resembles little to the actual private schedule of the president, with the Obama White House, the gaps of time in the official schedule seem to more closely mirror how he spends his time throughout the day.
The Oval Office is often empty, the president instead upstairs in a private study down the hall from the White House residence. The West Wing, while a hub of activity, most often moves along without the presence of the president himself. When he is in the Oval Office, it is likely for an official meeting where the White House photographer is allowed in for a quick photo op moment, or, a photo depicting the president pretending to work. It is said very few photos exist of the private study where Barack Obama spends the vast majority of his White House time, often draped over a nicotine and tobacco smoke drenched chair he brought with him to the White House from Chicago.
More often than the Obama machine would ever care to admit, important figures visiting the White House (but not noted on either the official or private presidential schedule) are ushered upstairs to Valerie Jarrett’s second floor office, just a short walk from the president’s own private study. After meeting with her, if Jarrett deems it necessary, the president’s private study time is interrupted and that person will be ushered back downstairs into the Oval Office where the president will then arrive neatly dressed and ready for yet another photograph with said person.
This scenario has been played out time and time again.
Nothing in or around the Obama White House is real. It is all staged for mass consumption. The schedule, be it official or not, tells little of the actual tale. The entire administration is but one giant “burn bag.”
