Obama Acting Like a Child on Immigration

I'll bet President Obama cried a lot as a baby. I'll bet he was one of those kids who, if he didn't ice cream or the toy he wanted, would throw himself down in the middle of a store and just scream his head off until he was appeased.

Because that's what he's doing now on immigration. His promise Monday to change immigration law 'on my own, without Congress' has got to be one of the biggest temper tantrums I have personally seen thrown by any U.S. politician.

It was one thing when Obama gave his State of the Union and promised the world he would usurp Congress' authority. That was just a bald-faced power play to flex his muscles.

But this business about threatening to just do everything on his own unless Congress gives him the bill he wants? He may as well be wearing short pants and have chocolate smeared all over his face while screaming "I want, I want."

In a staged Cabinet meeting in front of the press on Tuesday, Obama told his people to "get creative" on ways to go around Congress, then blamed his lawlessness on "the folks back home" wanting to see him act "on their agenda," which really is just Obama's agenda.

In other words, the recent spankings from the Supreme Court over his recess appointments and the tyranny of his Obamacare law have put the brat in an extra foul mood, and like the petulant child he is, Obama is trying to get back at the adults by not only continuing to misbehave, but by recruiting his playmates to act out too.

In the unanimous decision against his recess appointments, the court pointed out the recess appointment powers were not included in the Constitution to overcome political friction between the branches of government.

I expect the court would make a similar argument about presidential orders being used to effectively implement and pass laws that don't make it past Congress.

Every time Obama cries about the mean old Congress blocking his agenda, I can't help but reflect on the many times his cronies and executive orders have helped block things like investigations into Fast and Furious and Benghazi, or worked to block sensible budget cuts or even any rational discussion over the biggest piece of illegal socialist nonsense ever to come down the road, Obamacare. I also can't help thinking about how his henchman Harry Reid is sitting there like a gargoyle in the Senate, blocking every proposal from conservatives and preventing the process of impeachment, which should have been taken up a dozen or more times by now.

The hypocrisy of using thousands of illegal immigrant children to further an agenda aimed at creating a massive social welfare state for the sole purpose of keeping your party in power for the next 50 years, and then saying it's the American people's agenda, is the most glaring evidence yet that we are living in a tyranny.

The Constitution may as well not exist at this point. We have a president and a party, along with their legions of zombies, who believe that the Constitution is a "living document," meaning it doesn't say what it says, but it means whatever we feel it means at any given moment.

The Constitution was written so that the fundamental laws of our government would be visible and agreed-upon in perpetuity. The Constitution includes within its framework the only approved methods for changing it, by adding amendments.

There is no constitutional provision for a single man, no matter how cool he thinks he is, unilaterally changing the law of the land.

When you look at the face of Obama, America, you are looking at the face of a tyrant, a despot, a usurper -- and what's worse, he's a childish, immature one at that. Historically, that's a deadly combination.
