Our kids are going to start looking like the unhappy ones we used to see in pictures from war torn countries like Germany or communist ones like Russia and China. No smiles, no fun. They can't have Christmas anymore. They can't play freely - the rules for what gets them suspended from school are many and hard to follow. Now they can't have birthday cakes. I don't really think they get all that much joy from chanting paeans to 0bama.
How sad.    **nononono*

Since this is the result of a decision by a local school District, a couple of possibilities exist here.

1).  It is entirely possible that a majority of the voters in that District are perfectly happy with this, and specifically voted for members on the School Board who put in the rules that allow this.

2).  It is equally entirely possible that the local School Board has just pulled an Obama, and completely over-stepped their boundaries; in which case I trust that the parents and local voters will be raising hell and making some changes on the School Board very soon.

In any case, like it or not, agree with it or not, this is a classic example of how all politics are local, and an excellent real life demonstration on how to properly identify and correct a problem using the power of the ballot.

That is all.

The amount of sugar per homemade cupcake is almost insignificant - one cup sugar per 18 cupcakes, according to a Betty Crocker recipe for "everyday cupcakes." Just STFU, Moochelle, you hypocritical cow.

First Lady Michelle Obama presented a special cake to departing White House staffer Eirene Busa as they traveled from Manchester, N.H., to Joint Base Andrews, Md., on July 24th.
